Processional and Recessional Orders

I am finalizing the processional and recessional right now, and it occurred to me I have no idea when the officiant is supposed to move in/out. The groom and groomsmen are entering from the side AFTER parents/grandparents are seated but BEFORE bridesmaids. Should the officiant be before the groom and groomsmen? Same question for recessional - the officiant would actually wait until the rest of the wedding party walks back down the aisle, let the guests know they can go into the reception, and THEN he leaves. Is that correct?

I officiated my sister's wedding.  She had zero attendants.  I walked in after the Groom's Dad who escorted both of the moms and before the groom.

I have always seen the officiant process in with the groomsmen (whether from the side or down the aisle ahead of the groom). Then, the officant recesses back up after the parents and grandparents.

Our official walked in with the groom and grooms attendants(ahead of them) after parents and sisters were seated. He recessed last, I think, but I'm not sure to be honest.
