Received lots of good info from this board, time to give back a little.
December wedding @ Aria, brunch reception @ Wicked Spoon. 3 nights @ Aria followed by 2 nights @ CP.
Aria Panoramic Sky Suite - there is no doubt that this floor plan has more usable space than the non panoramic sky suite. There's enough room for 40 to be relatively comfortable, esp. if there are a few people lounging in the bedroom. You do need to escort your guests up 90% of the time - a few times my guests were able to make it through. Everybody had the same reaction upon entering the room - "Wow". I mean, even the view from the outside of the room is spectacular. There's a small mini fridge for you to use in addition to the mini bar. Wish I could live here. Pic of breakfast in bed included.
Aria Chapel - Got tons of rave reviews on this chapel from our guests. Everything went off without a hitch and the entire crew was well versed, professional, and top notch. Would not hesitate to recommend. Our claim to fame - the first dog friendly wedding @ the Chapel.
Wicked Spoon - We ended up getting the private room. We were charged our confirmed guest count whether or not they actually showed. We were allowed into the private room an hour beforehand to decorate, and lagged about 30 minutes beyond our 2 hour time frame w/o issue. The service was topnotch and everyone loved the food. No problem doing speeches w/o amplification - the room was closed off. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the room right now.
Glamsquad (Hair) - Wife used their services, no issues. She looked great?
Glamsquad - DoC/Decor services - Evidently Glamsquad also offers DoC services - we got them for a mere 2 hours to help out with decorating the Wicked Spoon for reception. As it turns out, the guy who did the gig for us is a decorator! He was fantastic and absolutely killed it with the services. The room looked great and he was on top of his game.
A few bonus reviews....
Aria Spa - great facility, better than Qua spa for sure. Want to check out MO next time to compare.
Qua Spa - decent facility, terrible customer service. Booked $500 in massage services, wasn't told half the spa was under maintenance until we checked in. No same day cancellation policy so we were screwed. They did give us 10% off but still - we wanted to camp out at the spa all day. As it turned out, only a few of the functions were down instead of half, so things turned out ok. I'll come back if i'm staying @ CP but the experience definitely soured me.
CP - Augustus Tower - Luxury Room - Great view of Bellagio fountains and a decent room compared to most on the strip, but after staying at Aria Sky Suite / Mandarin Oriental it was such a big step down. No bathrobes or body wash, to start. #firstworldproblems I know
Bacchanal buffet - OMG, I thought the Wicked Spoon buffet was good, this was out of the world. Salty crab legs though
