There is a particular song that my dad loves and whenever I hear it, I think of him... it's "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Led Zeppelin.

Would that be weird to play as the song for our father-daughter dance?

No, not at all. You are supposed to pick a song that is meaningful to you both or that you both enjoy. If the Led Zeppelin song is it, then go with it.

If it's a song you both like and that has meaning for you, that's what matters. Don't worry if other people think it's "weird" - if anything, they'll probably like hearing something different!

And as a Led Zeppelin fan I must say I approve of this choice!

I love it!

My dad and I went for a Bruce Springsteen song. Just because it is a little untraditional doesn't mean it's bad/wrong!

Do it girl. I'm sure you've seen those father-daughter dances on youtube where they dance to many "non traditional" songs so do it. This is a once in a lifetime event with your father so go all out and enjoy it. These will be the memories you will treasure forever.
