  Nyack Beach State Park

  Memorial Park in Nyack - also has a gazebo
  

  You could also check out Piermont. There's probably some cool shots you could get of the water.

  thank you so much.. nyack state park looks amazing but unfortunately i will be going in the other direction and i think that would add another 35 min or so ;(

  @Ladeda123 - you're going over the Tappan Zee Bridge though, right? If you got off the Thruway in Nyack, it would be really only a 10 minute drive.
