Same Sex Ceremony Scripting

We are both Lutheran and we are two women and are not wanting our ceremony to be two religious if that makes any sense. We go to church every Sunday together with our two kids but we are wanting a little bit of it involved but not to over baring. I am not sure where to even begin with the ceremony scripting, if anyone has any tips or ideas that would be amazing. I am working on the ceremony scripting this next few weeks so I have it all road mapped and figured out. Thanks in advance for the advice!

go grab the Lutheran Book of Worship and look through the wedding ceremony. There will probably be a couple different version for you to look at. Then, if you're getting married in the church, you'll have to speak to your pastor about what options you've selected. If you want to specifically remove or add something, he/she may need to approve. If you're not getting married in the church, I'd still use the Lutheran wedding ceremony as a starting place for your ceremony script. Also google ceremony scripts to see other aspects that you might want to incorporate.

Is a Lutheran pastor doing the service? They provided us with a "play by play" book so we could select varioius versions of different parts of the ceremony or come up with our own.

I had a written script of our ceremony somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere. The youtube link of our ceremony is below and maybe it will help give you a starting point. We aren't religious at all, so we didn't have any God references. But, we did have references to the Ohlone spirit (native people of Oakland) and other sorts of spiritual references (not many).

Whoever is performing your ceremony can help you incorporate Lutheran/God references. And my suggestion is to plan the ceremony language together with the officiant, that way no one is surprised.
