Sandals vs. Secrets?

We are trying to decide between a Secrets or Sandals honeymoon? We love secrets in Mexico but have never done a Sandals resort. Anyone been to both and can tell us the difference? We are also trying to decide where to go? Thinking about St. Lucia, Jamaica etc somewhere in carribean. We will be going in July. A good beach is crucial! Thanks!

    My Fi has gone to both for work projects, and he enjoys Secrets more. It's not as "Americanized" he says, and he enjoys their service more. If you go to the Secrets in Jamaican, he raves about the coffee cart in the morning and the "Jamaican coffee". He tried getting one at Sandals and they made him go to the bar for the rum and he said it just wasn't the same. Little things like that. You need to check for the beach though, as I know that Jamaica has rocky beaches and one of the Sandals location isn't on the actual beach.

    Sandals is opening a new location in Barbados though and he was quite impressed. They weren't open yet so it was hard for him to rate the service.
