Resort/Venue anywhere in NC?

Hi ladies - I just got engaged and now my fiance and are in the process of nailing down a venue in NC.  He lives in NY and I live in Idaho so we won't have a lot of time to visit the venues so recommendations are very much appreciated.  Ideally we'd like a place where we could got married, have the reception and also stay (along with our guests) since nearly everyone will be traveling for the wedding.  We'll have 75-100 guests and I'd really like something all-inclusive too (or close to it) since neither of us will be moving to NC for several months so the less planning we have to do the better.

If you can suggest something along those lines I'd very much appreciate it!  I'm hoping to stay under $10k for the whole wedding but many of the venues I've googled have been about that amount for the venue rental + catering + alcohol, so obviously anything less expensive is also very helpful :D

Honey Hill Inn near Asheville has a bunch of cabins and a bed and breakfast type house that most of you all could stay at. I think you'd need a tent though. But it's about 6k to rent all the rooms and cabins.

Are you looking for something in a particular area of NC? There's lots of resorts in the mountains (Blowing rock, Asheville, etc.) and there are some in central NC (winery type places), and lots at the coast. That would help to give more suggestions :)

Honestly anywhere -I'd prefer that it's within reasonable distance of a major airport (1 to 2 hrs), but I'm open to any and all locations :)

In the western part of the state is the grove park in in Asheville...it's beautiful!!!! however, it's pricey. It'd be your one stop shop :)

In the piedmont area there is the Childress Vineyard near Lexington, NC (about 45 min from Charlotte I think). They have a hotel and shope along with the ceremony/reception venues. It's really pretty also! They have great wines.

In greensboro & raleigh there are many large hotels that do weddings and that you would be able to stay at. I've been to 2 weddings at the DoubleTree resort/hotel just outside RDU. They were really done nicely I thought.

At the coast there is blockade runner in wrightsville beach. They do a great job and the hotel is great!

I was raised in raleigh and know of several hotels that offer complete style packages, but they are more pricey. let me know if you want more info :)

    Hope this helps!

The Umstead Spa and Resort in Cary is close to the Raleigh airport.  I've never been there but my office is having a meeting there in December.  I hear it's a wonderful place.

You should check out the Blowing Rock area. It is a little less know, but an absolutly stunning area of North Carolina. I am attending a wedding show there November 18th-20th. They are actually transporting to different venues for tours! You should check out the show's website http://www.weddingshowofthencmtns.com
