Jeffrey Miller Catering

Hi guys! Just wanted to post about our recent food tasting with Jeffrey Miller Catering in case any of you out there are considering getting married at one of their venues!

Our tasting was amazing! Jeffrey Miller Catering seriously knocked it out of the park!

I love the way JAM formats the tasting - they essentially throw a mini-wedding at one of their venues. It's a five hour long group tasting event along with lots of other couples who are getting married at the same Jeffrey Miller venue. It was SO much fun and made me so excited to mingle with the other couples and talk about our plans, details, the food, etc.

Throughout the five hours you get to try food and drink from every part of the wedding. The first hour is devoted to welcome beverages (i.e. cucumber lemongrass water, lavender lemonade), specialty drinks (i.e. tipsy arnold palmer), and the amazing cocktail hour stations and passed hors d'oeuvres. Some standouts for us were the delicious and flavorful seafood paella station (served in a cool giant paella dish), the fresh sushi station manned by a sushi chef, the cumin carrot soup shooters, the New York style corned beef station, and the fresh salmon cone (filled with salmon, avocado, cilantro and lime).

Eventually, we were all escorted to the main dining room and sat at tables along with other couples getting married around the same date. Then came the food! We tried three salads (the kale salad with croutons, shaved Parmesan cheese and lemon was my favorite - so crisp and refreshing) and six entrees. My fiancé and I loved the coriander chicken, the butterfish (had never had this before but it was so good), and the chicken and shrimp pad thai. By the end we were stuffed, but also got to enjoy 5 flavors of cupcake sized wedding cake, a gelato bar (with interesting flavors like balsamic strawberry), and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

Overall, we really just had a great experience in terms of the food, service, professionalism, etc. Jeffrey Miller Catering is a high quality and unique catering company that puts on a classy, beautiful and delicious event. I can't wait for our wedding!

I agree with the post above. I
had my wedding recently at Aldie Mansion, catered by Jeffery Miller Catering
and I loved it! One of the many many compliments I received were about the food
and how delicious it is and we were catering to a very picky crowd! The hors
d’oreuves and the entrees were perfectly fresh and did not resemble anything
that came from a package. My husband went especially nuts for the cheesesteak
eggrolls and micro cheeseburger and fries.

    Another
reason I selected Aldie was the beautiful décor. The historic touch combined
with the beautiful landscape (which was even better with snow) made it romantic
    for the photo shoots.

    Let’s
not forget the staff. They were fantastic as well. All the food were served
quickly and dishes were removed promptly as well as the cleaning at the end of
the wedding.  I can’t say enough good
things about Aldie, Jeffery Miller Catering and their staff. It exceeded our
expectations and more! It was a home run!!

  • My fiancé and I first explored wedding venues associated with Jeffrey Miller Catering because we absolutely loved the food at our friends' fall wedding, which was held at Tyler Arboretum.  The food was plentiful during their entire cocktail hour and we fell in love with the huge antipasto station that was only one part of cocktail hour (they also had tons of butlered hors d'oeuvres). There was an abundance of meats, cheese, crackers, and similar accoutrements that we couldn't get enough of.  My fiancé and I are foodies, and this was the first wedding we came home from and raved about the food.

At dinner, our friends chose to have a stations menu where we had three entrée choices, could serve ourselves and go back for seconds!  As guests, we loved having so many choices and that the food was so hot and delicious, and seemingly never-ending!

The set up at the Anthony Wayne House, another venue that works exclusively with Jeffrey Miller Catering, works a little better for our needs so we are going to be getting married there this fall.  We recently attended the group tasting as described above and within a week after that, our wedding planner, Lynn, reached out to us. We've already picked our menu over 7 months before our wedding.  With so many details to plan, I appreciate how she met with us so soon after the tasting so all of the food was still fresh on our minds when making decisions.  We are going with the antipasto station as part of our cocktail hour and we chose the same foods that our friends did because we loved it so much!

One other thing I love about Jeffrey Miller Catering is how they display their food.  From milk crates and mason jars, to tiered wooden food trays, they exemplify the "rustic elegance" feel that I want for our wedding.  I won't have to bring my own props to style the food tables, which will save me a lot of time and money. If you are looking for such rustic elegance and food that your guests will remember, check out Jeffrey Miller Catering!
