This is my first new discussion J been lurking for quite a
while, and posted a few replies to other threads.
I am in a relatively strange situation (or maybe not?), as
my live in boyfriend and I have already discussed the date of our engagement.
He said he will propose to me on the 25th of July, which is our anniversary
(we’ve got a night out in London all booked: posh hotel and restaurant, etc).
We are planning on travelling to Vegas to get married next year.
Next month, we are off to Vienna for a week’s holiday, and
while we’re there we will meet up with an old friend of mine, who is a jeweller
and who will make my e-ring. He wants me to pick my own ring, and I love the
idea of designing it and having my good friend make it.
This will be my second wedding. For my first, I got a
diamond solitaire engagement ring. This time round, I don’t want a diamond, but
a large pink stone… more of a cocktail ring than an engagement ring. I was
thinking about a pink or purple stone such as moissanite, morganite, tanzanite,
amethyst, pink sapphire or pink tourmaline and I am currently looking for
inspiration.
Any ladies in the board with pink/purple stones you would
like to show off? Any tips/suggestions?
