  • I've reached out to a few friends via phone or text who are out of state and simply said I wanted to be sure you know we are thinking about you... we would love to send you and invite but completely understand that you may not be able to make it. For instance, a friend who has been in and out of the hospital and cannot travel for quite some time. They're my very dear friends... I want them to know they're loved and welcome, but it's also opening communication instead of having them feel awful when they get the invite and have to check no... but no, I wouldn't include a note in the invite itself.
