What are your weekend plans?

I've had horrible allergy issues for the last 10 days so I was excited to get to work on some house projects and have a bit of fun. Of course, as soon as I'm feeling better, DH gets sick.

Now, it looks like the weekend will be cleaning, errands, and doing the boring projects that I don't need his expertise in. Very boring.

What is everyone else up to this weekend?

We moved into our new house yesterday! We are officially homeowners! There are boxes EVERYWHERE, so we will be doing a lot of unpacking and organizing. It won't be fun, but it will be nice to be able to move about without tripping over boxes.

This weekend is also a town wide event (like a fair, but just for the town not county) as well as community wide garage sales. DH's family is coming at 9:00 in the morning tomorrow to see the new house and then we will hit some sales and check out the carnival and stuff.

Allergies suck! I suffer from them as well.

DH and I are going to visit my parents tomorrow and we have a wedding on Sunday. Other than that, its a pretty boring weekend.

I'm just excited that the school year is almost over.

I'm going to Columbus for the STONES CONCERT. SO EXCITED. But it'll be bittersweet - the Stones were my mom's favorite band and this will be my first show without her.

I hope you and H feel better! Try to spend some alone time together, even if it's just out for a walk.

We are celebrating two birthdays on Saturday (a 3-year old and an 80-year old). Sunday we are having some friends over for dinner that haven't seen our new house yet. Extra sleep will also be involved because DH and I have been staying up way too late all week.

I really want to see Tomorrowland this weekend. It hasn't been getting great reviews but I love Epcot, the NY World's Fair, and all that nostalgic stuff so I still want to check it out. On Sunday FSIL and I might go shopping for a BM dress for her. No huge plans other than that though. I should probably do some wedding stuff.

Moving, moving, and more moving. We closed on our house on Wednesday(!) and we have moved a bunch of boxes already. But on Saturday a bunch of friends are coming over to help move furniture. So Saturday is moving furniture/boxes and Sunday will be putting stuff away.

I also have to officially move out of my apartment on Sunday. We're hoping the apartment building doesn't make it a big deal and they just look to make sure all our stuff it out and take the keys.

Tonight I am going to dinner with my mom, doing some returns at the mall and then possibly meeting up with friends.

Tomorrow I have a fitting for my bridesmaid dress for the wedding I am in next month! Then my family is going to a surprise birthday party for my uncle in the city. If I get back in time to meet friends for the Blackhawks game, I will. Big game!!!

Sunday FI is going with his groomsmen to get their tuxes ordered and then to eat so I am going to clean, go to the groceries, attempt to make dinner, etc.

YAY weekends! Allergies suck, sorry you have been dealing with them, if you have a Bi Mart close their store brand allergy meds are the shit! New houses are fun and I'm very excited for all of you that are moving/organizing this weekend!

I plan on yard work, I have been needing to get out there but like clock work every day after work the thunder clouds have been rolling in so hopefully it stays nice this weekend! We have been in our house for almost a year and a half now and the yard has been the last priority due to not being here last summer so I'm excited to get working on it this summer! Only problem is I need the truck, FI backed it into the garage before he left and it's in there so tight I'm actually worried about taking out the side of the garage when I pull it out!

I hope your H gets better soon!

H and I are going fishing tomorrow morning and I am beyond excited. This is the first time this year we will be going! It's going to be a great time. H said he is taking me shopping tonight for a new pole because he accidentally ran over mine when I was getting all of the stuff together yesterday. Shopping always makes me happy.

Sunday I told my mom that I would go to breakfast with her and then we will most likely end up working in her garden. I have a black thumb, so I enjoy being able to be around plants and flowers that are thriving. That woman could get a plant to grow in concrete I swear!

Oh! I forgot to mention my after-work mani pedi. Love my mani pedi days. And tonight I'm going to attempt risotto for dinner. It's a hard dish but I found a recipe that makes it look pretty simple so we'll see how that goes.

It's supposed to be in the 70's and no rain. For the last 3 or so weeks everyday it's been in the 50's and 40's during the day with it getting down into the 30's at night. It's rained or snowed most nights.

Tomorrow I'm working the beverage cart on the golf course. I'm sure it will be packed since the weather finally broke. Sunday will be enjoying the sunshine, hiking with the dogs.

FI gets home tonight from being away for a week, so I am super excited about that!

We cashed in our airmiles for a fancy dancy Nikon camera and it came in the mail last week right before he left town, so I promised I wouldn't play with it without him. And surprisingly I held myself to that, I'm pretty sure he wasn't expecting me to. So we will probably spend a bunch of time educating ourselves on the different settings, and start some tutorials on using the manual settings.And go and play with it. We've only ever had a cheap point and shoot that never took the greatest pictures, and now with baby nephews and nieces, and going to Paris for our Honeymoon, etc we thought it was time to learn how to document our lives a little more professionally.

I leave Cancun tomorrow

I'll be spending tomorrow night in TX with H and then on Sunday, I'll be flying back to AZ. I can't wait to see my kitties, though! They have a pet sitter that takes care of them in our home, but I always worry when I'm gone.

Just stir stir stir and only add the (warm) liquid slowly and you'll be fine. Risotto is a lot of work, but I love making it, I find it relaxing to just stand there and stir for awhile.

FI arrived back from Arkansas last night, and he heads back there mid-day Sunday, so we're spending the weekend doing fun stuff like laundry and house chores. I have to run to Costco, I know that's exciting.

Saturday afternoon/evening we are going to my MOH's house in the mountains though, to finalize the invitations (she's making them), and her husband is going to take some pictures of us, sort of engagement pictures? His new hobby is photography and so I asked if he could take some of us at their house since it's got nice surroundings. We are also doing professional pics next weekend since they're included in our photo package, but we only get a 30 minute session with her, and we're involving our dogs, so I think we'll only get 1 or 2 good shots during that session.

Woo-hoo weekends! Saturday clean and take kids to the park. Sunday I have a babysitter so it's date day with fi. Church, tacos and beer, then movies. We want to see the earthquake movie. Hope everyone has a fun and or productive weekend.

This is the big bachelor & bachelorette weekend!

FI will be gone all day tomorrow with a full agenda (golf, whiskey distillery tour, steak house & casino) and mine is a surprise. All I've been told is to how to dress, when I'll be picked up & to pack a clean pair of underwear.

We're also putting in an offer for a house today. There are supposed to be 2 other offers being submitted. I'm not sure if we'll get it, but who knows. Maybe I'll be a home owner next week.

swiftsticks We're getting married on the same day! Have fun at your bachelorette!

Tonight FI and I have to do a bunch of wedding-related shit. I have all of these craft projects I've been meaning to do for months, but it always seemed like I had SO MUCH TIME to do them. Now, all of a sudden, we're three weeks out and I have only managed to make table numbers. So tonight we are working on other small decorations (menu and cocktail signs, card box sign, etc.), starting the seating chart, working on ceremony music and our DJ blacklist, and talking to my dad (our officiant) about final ceremony details.

Tomorrow I will probably continue crafting before heading to my niece's 2nd birthday party.

I will also probably drink a fair amount of wine.

Work, work, and more work. I have two weeks to finish this chapter, finish my article (based on the chapter), and get significant work done on another chapter. I also have to finish my syllabus for the summer course I'm teaching and work on my course website.

Going to a wedding in Chicago suburbs for a ceremony, then Indiana for a reception.5 hours gap in between the ceremony and reception. I plan on getting drunk and watching the hawks on my phone to see if we go to Stanley Cup.

FI doesn't have off this weekend, so I kind of secretly took today off to run errands with him.

First we took the dog for a nice long walk, and she found a turtle! We weren't terribly close to water, so we have no idea what the turtle was doing next to the sidewalk!

We got FI a shirt and tie for the wedding, and a chain to wear his wedding band at work. Then we went to lunch and I brought my car to the shop to get the AC looked at. We went to the grocery to get dinner supplies (turkey tacos).

Tonight I plan to drink. I bought lemonade, pineapple juice, and watermelon.

Tomorrow I really must start on my shower thank yous, and thank you notes for the RSVP regrets that came with checks. I have another shower next weekend so this needs to get done!!

I also need to clean the house, and hopefully get my centerpieces together enough that I can start to transport them up to the town of my wedding when we go up for the shower. Tons of to-dos that I won't bore you with!

Sunday I have my grandfather's birthday party, and I will have to do the work I was supposed to do today.

Change of plans for me, instead of just sitting around I am head to my grandparents' for dinner. My uncle and one of my cousins and her husband will be there, too.

I might get to shop in the stores near there where a popular beach is, too, which would be nice as I need more Summer tops.

Got my hair done this morning. Probably get nails done later. Cleaning and relaxing and playing with my fur babies since I work all week. Tomorrow going to gym for my Zumba/Dance Trance/Pound mix workout!

This week starts off a hella busy summer with starting a new job, commuting back and forth between TX and AZ, and visiting family.

I was in a ball tourney today, which was so much fun to play again even though we sucked. I nailed one pitch right up the right field line (about 1 foot in) to leg out a triple. That felt good. Tonight is San Andreas and I think tomorrow we might move a shrub cos we're getting AC Monday.
