Bridesmaids Dresses--What are your girls wearing?

Hey all! I knew that I, like many brides, wanted desperately to select a dress for my beautiful girls that they could wear again and that they wouldn't regret having spent money on. I ended up finding one that they all loved, it isn't actually from a bridesmaid line, and they all swear they will wear it again! So hopefully it's true.

So pretty! I just went shopping yesterday with my bridesmaids and we picked out the Donna Morgan long gown in the "sterling" color.. I told them they can pick any style they want. So happy to have this part done with!

I may use Little Borrowed Dress! Still debating.. waiting for my color swatches and then off to visit the showroom in NYC to make sure the quality is good

But I like the idea of them renting a dress instead of having to buy one!

My girls are all very different sizes and skintones, so I'm going to let them pick their own dresses in a gold/beige palette... I guess I'll call it "mismatched neutrals." I thought it was probably a crazy idea at first, but I've seen some pictures that looked pretty cute of mismatched bridesmaids! We'll see. When all is said and done, my top priority is just making sure all my favorite girls are comfortable!

We're going with black dresses. I have bridesmaids from 42 to 32, in a big range of sizes, so we're going with choose your own black dress with some criteria, no strapless, at least past knee length and not straight. A little fullness to it, a-line?

We are doing long, plum dresses in mesh from David's Bridal - they can choose from 4 different styles.

I'm letting my girls pick their own dresses. All I care is that it's black and floor-length. One of my bridesmaids is this tiny little girl and a couple of them are bigger. So, they get to choose.

I am letting them pick the style of dress, it just has to be floor length and Royal Blue. we are all going to spend a day shopping at a bridal shop to pick them out.. like a girls day!

@inconveivable14, that's what we did too! The girls each chose their own Bill Levkoff style (floor length, chiffon) but mine are Victorian Lilac

There were a ton of styles to choose from and they were all really happy that they each got to decide on one that fit their particular preferences/needs without feeling pressured into a particular style by me or the rest of the group.

OP, that dress is AMAZING - where is it from?

I've pretty much said get what you'll be happy in. I want them to feel beautiful, and I know that between my size 2 sister, my size 10 sister, and my size 20 BFF, I can't pick any one dress that will flatter them all and make them feel beautiful. So they have a color guideline (DB's Horizon or something similar) and a formality guideline based on my dress. I don't care outside that. Long, short, strapless, long-sleeved, whatever.

I do think I will miss going with them to pick out dresses, but I'd rather they feel gorgeous and this is the best way to do that.

We got their dresses today at Davids Bridal.

1st pic my MOH dress in that color (regency)

2nd pic Bridesmaid dress in that color (raspberry)

3rd pic Junior bridesmaid pic in that color (raspberry)

4th pic Flower girl dress with the sash in regency to match MOH. My flower girl dress matches my dress.

Like @frenchiekin and @inconceivable14, I did Bill Levkoff floor-length chiffon for my BMs in plum. They got to pick whatever style they wanted. I think only two of the girls ended up with the same dress, which was interesting. We ordered them on Feb 1, and I think they'll be in around June.

hellosweetie1015 I am doing the exact same thing down to the color, Horizon blue from DB.. but we are going next Friday to pick out the dresses and let them try on some, like I did for my dress, it was fun picking out dresses and seeing what they looked like on me adn they all loved the idea of picking them out together..

I just met with 5 of my 6 bridesmaids (sixth lives across the country!) to pick out bridesmaid dresses at David's. We picked two styles and two colors-- this one in Petal and this one in Champagne. The men are wearing dark grey suits and navy ties, and FI is wearing navy. We were inspired by this picture:

All of the girls will be wearing these with grey shoes, and I am making a turquoise sash/bow to tie around their waist.
