Outdoor ceremony in San Antonio, TX in April? Hot?

Hey everyone!

I have my ceremony and reception booked for April of 2016. We are getting married at Marriage Island on the riverwalk and we have about 50 guests coming. We reserved the patio at the Hotel Contessa for seating. How hot do you think it is in April??

It can still be pretty hot in April, and the humidity along the riverwalk is usually terrible. Is the ceremony/reception going to be outside? You should probably have an indoor back-up plan in case of hot weather (or rain!)

Go to http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KSAT/2013/9/22/DailyHistory.html
and click on the monthly calender, you can look up the month of April's weather history in recent years just to get an idea. Honestly it's a hit or miss with April. It could be warm, hot, or raining. I do agree that the humidity on the riverwalk might be a bit high so I would highly suggest giving cute fans, as favors possibly, to the guests to make them more comfortable!
