Hey ladies, I am having a DIY wedding, just recently started making centerpieces which include shadow boxes sort of like this, show me your DIY crafts for your wedding, and also how was your experience ? (:

I am doing my own bouquets (mine, bridesmaids--no peacock swords or with??, and toss), centerpieces (can't decide to stay w/ clear vase or swap out for royal blue, votives on mirror or surrounding), flower girl baskets and boutonnieres (attaching pics). Also working on designing our invitations, making aisle decorations (so far a rounded vase w/ white rock on the bottom, a faux succulent sitting on that, filling with water and a floating candle on top), menus, place cards, and programs.

My bouquet and centerpiece... we will be adding at least 3 more votives to each table around the large vase. Vases came from Dollar Tree!

A variety of our projects w/ notes. We did our own invitations, centerpieces, cufflinks, veil, shoes (I have a birth defect so can't fit in any women's shoes), clock hands, favors, and guest book (blue thing). Wedding is in two weeks so pics will be poping up. Also fiance's mother's making the cake (used to make wedding cakes).

My fiance currently works with a 3d printer manufacturer, so his boss was excited to have some artsy items printed for once. We have limited access to the 3D printer, so we had a little fun making alternate clock hands and the blue gear bit.

If you want to 3D print, Shapeways is a good way (but pricey) to go or, look into your local a maker commmuity, technical university to find a guy that'll print for a fee. The tough part is making a printable model. For OK pre-made 3D models Thing-a-verse has 3D models for a variety of things available from makers. But your mileage may vary, and the process has a lot of troubleshooting.

Edit/clarification-Guest book will be a fancy card box for guests to drop cards with their well wishes, and any other cards into. The venue is not available till day of, does not allow artificial flowers, nor has a staff, so florist, caterer, and corrdinator are to set-up reception with our DIY deco vs friends/family.

I did these for my daughter's wedding. She created the "logo" and chose the fonts for the aisle runner which we also used on the candle and her programs (not shown).

I made the charms of her deceased grandparents that the florist attached to her bouquet. They are both NY ranger fans, hence the garter i stitched up for her. I did a hanger for her and each of the bridesmaids.

The pew markers were copied from a pinterest picture I'm sure you have all seen.

I made the table numbers and her veil.

We loved it all.

I'm doing a lot of diy for my rustic October wedding. My tables numbers, centerpeices, signs, place cards, card box, place card "table". So far.. The table numbers are done and the place card table (the one pictures is the same thing except mine has sunflowers instead)!
