Winter Wedding in Vermont on a Budget??

edited August 2015 in Budget Weddings Forum
Hey everyone!

We are looking for advice and/or guidance to find vendors/venues in or around Vermont for a wedding on a budget. We are looking into December of 2016 and are realistically looking at around or less than $8,000 total budget. That may even be out of reach, because we are doing in with no help (and with a kiddo at home).

If any one has advice for venues or vendors or ANYTHING we would appreciate it!

We are trying to enjoy and not stress about this special time in our lives. :)

Plan your wedding the proper way:

    1.  You have already established your budget.  Good!

    2.  Draw up a guest list of everyone you want to invite to your wedding.

    3.  Now decide what you can afford to feed all these people.  A brunch wedding is half the cost of a dinner wedding, and people can drive home afterwards, instead of needing to spend the night at a hotel.  You should be able to afford this unless your guest list is huge.
Forget about a big dinner reception.  It is the most expensive kind of reception.

This is an international board. For more VT-specific advice, your local board would be more appropriate. Would you like me to move this?
