My profile changed my name then changed it back...?

I changed my name, and it showed that way for a bit and then changed back to what I was assigned. Now it tells me that name choice is not valid. 

Are there rules about characters in the names? I'm sorry if this is already listed somewhere I'm having a hard time navigating this forum

    Hi there,

    I'm sorry you're having this problem. Can you please send me 3 possible options for your new username (in case your first choice is taken) and I'll change it for you? User names should be 14 characters or less and only be made up of numbers and letters.
