Has your H worn his suit again?

My DH just left for a job interview in his wedding suit, which felt so weird to me!  I said yeah we say we buy the suit so you have it, but it's still a bit strange to see you in it again!

I might have my dress on by the time he gets back!

(And fingers crossed for him please, if you think of it!)

H wears his suit about once a week. It's a navy blue suit and he purchased it specifically so that he could wear it again and again to work. He's a banker that has to wear suits most days of the week so it's not strange for me to see him in the suit he wore in our wedding.

We rented, but DH does not dress up. About once a year for a wedding or whatever he will, but the most formal he really ever needs is dress pants and shirt and tie.

He wears old jeans and tshirts for work. His weekend attire is "nicer jeans and nicer tshirts".

That makes sense - I'm sure it makes a big difference whether or not he normally dresses up!  This is the only time since then that he has worn a suit.  He wears t-shirts and carhartts to work.

nope, and he never wears suits so the next time he would wear it would likely be a wedding or funeral. He bought it because the other one he had didn't fit any more, otherwise he would have just worn the one he already owned.

DH didn't wear a suit or tux for that matter.    He has worn the pants a few times.  I can't recall if he wore his shirt or not.    I'm thinking no.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

DH has worn his a few times... it's the only suit he owns.  Prior to our wedding, he owned one pair of dress slacks, one dress shirt, and one tie.  He bought a navy blue suit for the wedding, figuring that he would be able to wear it again.  So, that's now his go-to dress outfit.

We didn't (and still don't) have a lot of money to be spending on nice clothing like that, so when H bought his suit (which I think was on sale for around $150 at Express), he knew this was going to be his one and only suit.  He didn't have a suit before then.  And it's still, over 2 years later, his only suit.  But it's a nice medium gray that works for church, nice dinners out, etc.

H wore a tux. And he has had to where it several times since, mostly for other weddings.

We didn't do suits but he has reworn his shirt we got, and the jeans, both for work.  No love for the vest though.

My mom had bought H a suit two years prior to our wedding (he didn't have one and my brother's wedding was like a month after H's birthday) so he wore it once or twice before the wedding and then he wore it to my mom's funeral after the wedding. I don't think he's worn it since.

Nope, not yet. It actually was in my car until last week lol. I could see him breaking it out again some time in the future, though.

My H rented his tux from Mens Warehouse and got a free suit from them. He didn't own a suit up until then. He has worn that suit to formal night on the two cruises we have been on. Cruises are probably the only time he will wear it, unless someone we know has a really fancy wedding. He works IT and wears jeans and t-shirts every day.

So. DH bought a designer suit (one that he'd been wanting for years) for our wedding, with the logic that with such an investment he would be able to wear it again and again.

Well, we attended 7? 8? weddings in the one year since ours, and I think he wore it to two of them. Why? "I don't want to show up the groom or groomsmen."  << facepalm >>  I also think he may have worn it to some work event in the past year, but I don't recall.

I keep insisting he wear the nice suit because he spent so much damn money on it. Geez.

H wore a rented tux, so no he hasn't worn it again.  I think I can count on one hand how many times H has worn a suit in the past 4+ years.  Weddings and funerals are the only time H gets dressed up.

H didn't wear a suit, but yes, he has worn his dress pants again as well as the shirt. He hasn't had a good time to wear the tie again. It went with the wedding colors, but I'm not a fan of it for regular life.

We have since bought him a suit that he's worn once. We don't have excuses to dress up too often, unfortunately.

H never dresses up. He is a software engineer, so his dress code is jeans/cargo shorts and (old) polos....that said, we do go to a lot of weddings. We purposefully got him a light grey, fairly plain suit in the hopes he could wear it again. He has worn it a few times to weddings.

My H's boss actually said to him "you can wear jeans tomorrow now" yesterday (they had a policy change and jeans on Friday are acceptable now). then added "but appropriate ones" my H was like "what does that mean" (while I was hearing the story I knew exactly what his boss meant) his boss responded "you just seem like a guy that wears holes in his jeans"

We laughed this off because he is that guy, his favorite pair that I make him change out of most of the time has a hole in the seam (I am fixing this weekend) on the outside of the thigh..

We had the coupon that if 5 tuxes were rented he would get the suit pants and jacket for free, so hopefully we will have the chance for him to wear it again..

I know that my son-in-law has worn his many times.  They are regular church goers, and attended quite a few weddings in the past four years.
My son had to buy a suit to attend his Grandfather's funeral in March.  His suits were all lost in his infamous house fire.  He needed it for job interviews last month.  (Yes, he has a new job.  More money, more benefits.)

FH bought his suit, it's a very dark grey. I think he's excited to re-wear it after the wedding.

DH wore a tux to our wedding but he's had his suit for 13 years and it comes out at least once a year. More when we attended more weddings.

Yep, DH has worn his suit a few times since it's the only black one he owns.

Nope, though his is a light coloured linen style suit, and not a regular one.  His regular one gets worn once a year, to the company Christmas party awards thing.  I've had to start checking previous years photos to make sure he also doesn't wear the same shirt/tie as the previous year (he did that once).  Anyway, it's currently in a garment bag in the closet beside my dress.  Together forever in the closet

Yes! DH has worn his for job interviews and weddings.

My H didn't wear a suit, he wore dress shirt and dress pants. He's actually going to be wearing at least the dress shirt to our company party and probably whole thing at xmas parties and if he has any interviews he'll probably wear the dress pants again.

Side note: i'm wearing my dress for our honeymoon in feb for a nice dinner, so I'm hoping he'll bring his dress shirt :)

We bought his tux and yes, he has worn it again. :)

H wears his wedding suit all the time. I love seeing him in it, it reminds me of such a happy day!

We are not buying one because he would never wear it again. He is in management but in the construction industry that means steel toe boots, jeans, and a polo daily, he wouldn't be allowed on the work sites in a suit.

He bought a suit for his grandpa's funeral but his mom asked that he not wear the jacket because his little brother couldn't afford one and she didn't want him to stand out as under dressed so it has been in the closet with tags on since he bought it.

About a month ago (a few months after our wedding) my cousin died so H wore his suit to the funeral. We haven't had any other occasion for him to wear it, but it's his only suit so I'm sure he'll use it again if we're getting dressy. He was talking about wearing it for his Halloween costume this year, but I think he's got a different idea now.
