I just received the gift card from them and I was disappointed to see $50.00 for shipping for a FREE set of rings.  He stated there was a small shipping.  I checked the reviews but only saw ones from 2012.  I would like to know if anyone in the past months have received rings from them and what was their experience?

    A set of rings that costs $50 to ship aren't free.  You are paying about $45 for the rings.

    What kind of rings are you seeking?  I think you can do very well at Walmart.  They sell very nice basic gold rings for reasonable prices.

    Yea - $50 shipping means those aren't FREE!  For $50 you can go to Kohl's, Macy's, JCP, Sears, etc. and get a not pricey but decent set of earrings.  Things like that are an absolute scam!

    You would receive rings, but they wouldn't be made of precious metals.  They are titanium.

    Titanium has become popular as a jewelry material due to its various unique properties. Titanium is biocompatible (often referred to as hypoallergenic), or non-toxic to the human body. Similarly, titanium rings will not react with wearers who suffer allergies to other jewelry materials.[2]

    It is highly resistant to most causes of corrosion, including sea water, aqua regia, chlorine (in water), and some acids. It is soluble in concentrated acids, however.[6] Titanium rings are therefore practical for those who regularly swim in the ocean or chlorinated pools, for example. This is in contrast to some traditional jewelry materials, such as silver, brass and bronze, which are prone to tarnishing and other manifestations of deterioration.

    Titanium rings, depending on composition, have varying degrees of fatigue resistance and tensile strength. However, almost all well-known compositions feature higher fatigue resistance, as well as strength-to-weight ratios, than most, if not all, known metals.[1]

    It can be difficult to find someone to resize Titanium rings, but it is possible to reduce and increase ring sizes if needed. The amount of the reduction and increase is limited.

    They are only slightly more difficult to cut off in case of emergency than for gold rings; titanium is comparable to steel in its resistance to sawing.[7]


    For a little bit more, you can get something in 10K or 14K gold that will last lifetime.  My Keepsake band has been on my hand for 39+ years, and it still looks great.

    $50 isn't free.

    I went slightly pricier: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TIX64Q?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage but contemplated getting something like what @CMGragain showed.

    Search the site for reviews of JVL or elsewhere. Pretty sure they're a well-known scam.

    Sears has a nice David Tutera line and you'd be surprised to find out that a lot of the wedding expos offer rings at great discounts and some even free if you attend the shows.  At least you could enter some of the drawings (free photography, free cake, etc).  Check what's going on in your town and most of the expos are free or very cheap to attend.  That $50 could be spent better, so disregard that offer.
