ceremony sites in Chicago area

Hi everyone,

We are planning a 2016 wedding in the city of Chicago for about 40-50ppl . We already have two great options for our reception, however they do not accommodate ceremonies, and we haven't been able to find a ceremony only site. Our budget is around $1000 for the ceremony, so I was hoping this wouldn't be so difficult. We need to do a saturday wedding since the majority of our guest list is out of town. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.

Where are your reception options?  The ceremony location should not be too distant from your reception location, ESPECIALLY if the majority of your guest list is from OOT.  It would place a burden on them to try and navigate an unfamiliar and large city.  It might be easier to continue looking at reception options that do actually accommodate your ceremony as well.

Are you planning on creating hotel blocks?  Holding your ceremony at the hotel might be an option as well.  If many guests stay at the hotel, the business may offer you a break on the ceremony space.

All of the concerns listed above.

But for a really unique smaller venue--if you want outdoors, try Lightology on W. Chicago. Their outdoor garden is great for that size of guests, you only need to pay a fee to Lightology to have one of their employees on hand, plus chair rental, audio equipment rental and any other extras  you want. Decorations are minimal because the garden flowers are so great.

August it will be hot though, so keep that in mind for outdoors and good luck!
