@Swazzle Time goes by so fast! I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving either. I don't even want to think about Christmas yet. I have no idea what to get anyone and I don't want to spend money on stuff just for the hell of it.

@untouchablets I didn't know you were surprising them! That's really exciting. My mom loves surprising people and would try to surprise as many people as possible when coming home after moving out of state. I surprised my dad going out to visit them before too and I loved seeing his reaction. I tried to surprise both my mom and dad one year for Christmas but my mom totally knew I was coming. lol. Can't get anything past her.

Our weekend was busy too. Friday I met up with a friend that I hadn't seen in almost a month. I unfortunately missed her bday because we were out of town

People were apparently shocked I wasn't there, but she knew ahead of time we were away. Still sucks.

Saturday I was up stupid early. Cats were hungry, then I realized Angel had diarrhea. In box. On floor couple times. So I cleaned up, then couldn't go back to bed of course.
Matt got up, we headed out for errands. Mall for some xmas stuff, then grocery store to print photos for gifts, then Canadian Tire to look at xmas decor {they have really good prices}
Didn't buy xmas decor but ended up getting a pots and pan set. One we have isn't terrible, but we were looking at a better quality one. Regular $400, we got it for $100

When we got home I tried to lie down for an hour to rest, but Angel decided to do something out of the ordinary and poop on my pj shirt that was on the floor. Called vet, they said could be bug. No blood, just small amounts. Keep an eye on him.

Sunday he was better. Went driving and Matt's quite impressed with how I'm doing. Went to a craft show with my mum, then Winners {TJ Maxx for those who are American} and finally Starbucks.

Today I'm kinda dragging my butt from lack of sleep, and I have my course tonight. Urg ... deep regret for signing up. *sigh*

@untouchablets I didn't realize you were surprising them! And I'm sure once you're there, your schedule will quickly fill up. Just focus on transportation to and from the airport, since I'm sure you're family will be able to provide transportation the rest of your stay.

@swazzle I am probably going to end up doing that for at least Thanksgiving day. It'll just be really expensive since we are both still under 25. Our hotel is a ten minute ride from my parents house so we can take cabs or Uber the rest of the week.

@speakeasy14 - You get to take your cumulative exam at home?! I had to sit alone in a room for 8 hour stretches for mine. Its annoying that your advisor sent it late though.

@labro - FI looked at the crosstrek, its a great car! He wanted something a little bigger though and ended up going with the forester

My weekend was pretty boring, I didn't do much worth mentioning. Supposedly a big snow storm is coming this evening and I'm not excited. I hate driving in the snow.

@jenna8984 Wow, that's great about your fall cleaning! H and I try to go through once a year and donate clothes and knick knacks and such. It's amazing how every single year we give away bags and bags and bags of stuff. It all accumulates so fast!
@cu97tiger Sorry to hear about Fritz--poor guy! Congrats on the race! You may feel like your time was slow, but it's a hell of a lot faster than anything I could ever run. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you are a fitness goddess!

@speakeasy14 LOL sorry! I have my AW from the wedding a few posts down. Still need to get on there and respond to everyone. I'll try and AW the pro pics today and talk a bit about the honeymoon. I need to go through my 175 emails first though.

@TwoDimes OMG everything for the shower is perfect and adorable and so thoughtful. You knocked it out of the park! You seriously did such a fantastic job!

*sigh* The honeymoon is officially over, and I'm back at work. I started off my morning by accidentally cutting the crap out of my thumb on H's razor, so that was fun. No eyeliner or eye makeup outside of mascara since that requires thumbs, and I was running really late thanks to my bleeding thumb, so my hair is still wet. I came in to the office, and my coworker was like, "Is it raining outside? Why are you all wet?"

On the bright side, I checked the mail on my way into the office, and our marriage license was there! Yeah! We are official now!

This weekend was fun but fairly low key. We stayed in Friday night, and Saturday night we went out with some friends to celebrate our best man's birthday. I baked him a peach cobbler since he doesn't like cake, and we bought him a hookah as a present. It was really fun to go out and socialize and see everyone after all the wedding chaos, and we all had a great time. The waiter at the restaurant accidentally spilled my frozen drink all over me, but the restaurant was really sweet about it and comped my drinks the rest of the night. I laughed it off, and H joked that I was drinking a Cold Shoulder. hahaha

Also, I'm really excited because my step-dad emailed me over the weekend to talk about ideas for upcoming family vacations. They want to do a big family ski trip over MLK weekend and then do a big summer vacation somewhere. London was mentioned as a potential destination for the summer, and both skiing and England are big trips that H and I have been wanting to take forever, so I'm really hoping we can make it work. My step-dad typically pays for the hotel and most of the food on big family trips like this, so usually all H and I have to cover is the flight and a few activities... definitely a really good deal!

We got our pro pics from the wedding yesterday! We love them so much! I may AW them later today or tomorrow. For now I need to get back to work... currently trying to get my email account switched over to my new name.

@labro - My BF has a Crosstrek, and I really like it. It drives super well, especially in rough weather. My mom got one in orange, my BF has it in red, and his dad has a white one, haha.

@untouchablets - That's so exciting for your brother! It's annoying that I get paid every other week and my BF gets paid every week. I never feel like I have any money because I always pay my bills right after getting paid, then have to wait another two weeks for the "fun money", haha.

@speakeasy14 - Uh, yea, what your advisor did is bullshit. I would be more than frustrated. But yay for puppy time!

@Peaseblossom55 - Your Molly bear looks amazing. That will be such an incredible keepsake.

@lavenderfields13 - My mom just read that book. I'll have to ask her if she cried, haha.

Good morning! We were supposed to go see Eugene Mirman on Friday night, but my BF didn't get home from work until after 7, so we ended up staying home. He went and bought Fallout 4, so I worked on my cross stitching while he played that. Omg, that game looks SO BORING. But he stayed up until 1 or 2 am both nights, so he must really enjoy it.

On Saturday I drove a few hours through torrential downpour to visit my friend and her little baby. He was such a gem, about 4 months old, and I could not get enough of him. Probably because he didn't cry even once over the 4 hours I was there. Finished the night the same way as the night before, with me passing out on the floor with the dog while BF played his video game.

Sunday we managed to do a little cleaning. I did a giant chunk of my cross stitching then realized I used the wrong color, so I had to remove all of the stitching which actually seemed to take longer than putting it there. It's just so pretty though!

Good morning!

Friday night H and I drove to FIL's place.

Saturday was SIL's bridal shower! It was a lovely day, she got many awesome gifts, and I won the "don't-say-bride-or-wedding" game because of course I did. Afterwards H, FIL, SMIL, and I went through our honeymoon pics (which I still have not AWed and it's getting stupid long afterwards).

Sunday morning H and I had breakfast with MIL and SFIL, then headed to my parents' place. WE GOT A BIRTHDAY WITH THE CAT!!!! A couple weeks ago, I wasn't sure we'd get to this point, but we got to keep him this long!!! His quality of life remains good, but I'm not sure how long we'll keep him for sure. Yesterday he turned 19, and we gave him salmon (oh he's not spoiled, not at all).

He even sat in my lap for a while and took a little nap there:

I am drowning in work this week. It's my last full week of work before Thanksgiving, and then right after Thanksgiving I leave for Istanbul! One week from tomorrow I head to my sister and BIL's to spend Thanksgiving with them and my nephew, and 2 weeks from tomorrow I get on the plane for vacation! BF is planning all sorts of fancy things for this trip...he asked me if I wanted to use Flytographer to get some professional pictures taken while we're there. I'd never heard of them, but now I'm obsessed and so excited. I spent most of last night watching tv, drinking wine, and thinking about what to wear for the portraits.

I have a hair appointment tomorrow and am so nervous about trying out a new stylist. She comes with great reviews, but I had such a good stylist in Oklahoma that I am stressed about trying a new one. Still, though, it will be nice to take a break from work and get pampered a little.
