Hi all - After going back and forth on our wedding location for a while (we live in NYC, I'm from here and friend/family live mainly in the northeast, he's from Ireland with a mix of family both here and there, though mainly there), we just booked our wedding for next year in Ireland. Most of my close friends are married and have/will have babies by next year, so I know it's unlikely that many will be able to travel which is of course understandable. My question is -- knowing the trip is a lot to ask of them, should I invite them anyway to let them know their presence it welcome/wanted? Or does that put them in a bad place to have to say no, and/or come across as gift-hunting?
