Heels on grass

I found a pair of shoes I'd love to wear to my outdoor wedding, but they are heels and I don't have much experience with heels on grass. The heel is on the short/thick side (see link below), but I'm still nervous about the possibility of getting stuck and falling. Do you think this heel would be a problem on grass, or are they thick enough that it would be ok?

Re: Heels on grass

  • I think those might sink a teeny tiny bit...but you'll probably be just fine. I wear heels with that thickness in grass all the time and don't have an issue. I ordered these heel protectors for my shoes called Soul Mates and they worked amazingly well when it came to walking down a grassy aisle! However, I don't think they make a size that would fit the heel you're planning to wear.

  • Thank you for asking that question!! I've been thinking that these shoes are the ones for me, but we've just decided to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Thankfully I haven't purchased them yet haha. Does anyone think these will sink/cause me to trip?

@Knottie15770957 I ordered a set of these. My shoes had heels like yours. They worked perfectly and I wasn't having to balance on the balls of my feet to keep myself from sinking into the grass! I think they're a little much per piece....but it really was worth it! I actually wore them all night and the broader base made wearing the heels a lot more comfortable for long periods too.

  • I was afraid of that and opted for wedges (as did my bridesmaids). The link you provided looks like a bigger heel that would be less likely of sinking although I think it depends on the weather before hand as to whether the ground will be soft or not.
  • @labro Thanks so much!! I had no idea things like this actually existed haha.
  • OP are those Seychelles? I wore similar shoes/heels on grass and didn't have an issue at all.
  • Yes, they are Seychelles. It's encouraging to hear you didn't have a problem with yours!
