On the hunt for a look-alike...

I desperately want a dress for my courthouse wedding this summer that looks like BHLDN's Prospere gown, but with a significantly smaller price tag. I just cannot justify anything close to $3k for a dress for a quick and simple ceremony.

Has anyone ran across any that might look similar, at least a little bit to this dress anywhere out there on the internet?

Honestly, it looks pretty simple; no boning, lace, bling.....if it wasn't white, I could see it selling for closer to $200. A local seamstress might be able to make something similar for you for a lot less than the ticket price.

For that kind of money for that dress, you can purchase a basic sewing machine, ironing board, some fabric and the "Princess Kate" dress pattern from McCalls and DIY! With it being that simple of a pattern/design, I honestly cannot figure out where that $3000 price tag is coming from!

I've scoured ModCloth with no luck (even bought a few things and returned them). I'm really in love with the sleeves, the neckline and the full skirt. I realize, yes, I could make it myself, but if you could see some of my past sewing projects, you would understand why I am not a great choice.

Checked with seamstresses in the local area. They seem hesitant to take on the project, since the courthouse date it in 3 months.

This isn't going to the county fair to be judged - it's about achieving a look. Think of yourself as a Couture designer and that picture is what you've got to work with for the finished product - <Bella voice> You can do it!
