I looked at/tried on wedding dresses for the first time today.
I was fully expecting to hate it, for several reasons.
- I hate shopping. I've always hated shopping.
- I recently lost 50lbs but am still plus sized and I was so concerned nothing would fit me and I'd feel fat and terrible.
- I am probably the least decisive person I know and I was afraid I'd stand there for hours staring at dresses and have no idea where to start.
I really thought that I'd be coming back here in tears asking for support.
I was wrong. I had a great time. I fit into every dress I tried on (some of them were even too big!) I loved my consultant and she was wonderful at narrowing things down for me and getting me to really think about what I liked.
And I narrowed it down to 2 dresses!
Just wanted to give other plus sized ladies some hope. It probably won't be as terrible as you might be imagining.
