i'm waiting for my butter chicken to finish simmering, and that's going over steamed rice. wish me luck. there are no indian restaurants within walking distance so i need to start making this stuff myself it seems.

Crock pot beans
4 ounces bacon, diced1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)1/2 cup chopped onion1 can (21 ounces) pork and beans1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained1 can (16 ounces) butter beans, rinsed and drained1/2 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup ketchup1 tablespoon cider vinegar1 teaspoon prepared mustard1 teaspoon saltFry bacon and dice. Brown onion with beef. Put all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.

wzz- I immediately thought that might be a Duggar dinner

Mnne- We do something similar to that, but use spicy sausage and kielbasa and just the brown sugar. We add some italian beans and green beans too. We just call it "that bean crap Sandy makes at Thanksgiving."
