Issues with sending invitations

My Fiancé and I are about to send wedding invitations through the website and are finding the "share your site" option VERY unreliable.  We decided to test it by sending it to my parents and us individually and despite theknot claiming to have sent an email to us, we do not receive the email. Without a reliable way to send invitations it makes the whole website useless and we will have to start again on Appycouple etc.  Is there a way to trouble shoot this problem? is this an isolated scenario situation that's quick to resolve? is the server down temporarily but we can trust that it will be reliable in a day or so?

    You are e-mailing your wedding invitations?  Please send paper invitations.  Email is not a good way to invite people to an event as important as your wedding.
    If cost is a problem,. Vistaprint.com does beautiful invitations at a budget price, or you could print your own from a kit.
