    I looked all over at the review and asked in a facebook group.  I ended up deciding to go with Elvira's in Lake Orion because it is close, she had good reviews and was recommended by more than one person on facebook.  She has not done the alterations yet, but I met with her last week and she was very nice and the shop was packed by the time I got my dress on (5 min after they opened).  Her prices are pretty reasonable as well.  I'm happy so far with my choice.
