Memorial day weekend wedding?

Hello, I'm in the process of picking a date and have been getting mixed reviews about having a wedding on memorial day weekend. What do you all think?

    I guess it depends on your crowd. Do you have guests that typically go away during that weekend? Will you have guests traveling from out of state, where costs will be higher for them? Costs of flights and hotels tend to be higher of course during holiday weekends. 

    I attended a friend's wedding 2 years ago over Memorial Day weekend. It was a local wedding and I had no issues. It was a great time.
