2 Maids of honor?

I was wondering if its normal to have two Maids of honor (neither of them are married so one can't be Matron of Honor) One would be a family memeber and another would be my closest girl friend. Thanks so much for the help

Yes, it's normal, not to worry!

Also it's "maids" of honor. Just a pet peeve of mine. Multiple maids, not multiple honors.
