Marraige License

Hey folks, We probably should have thought of this earlier but too late now! Any idea what the process is like in NY? Both my FI and I are living in VA and traveling up about five days from the wedding and I'm not sure that will be enough time to process the marraige license. Anybody know details?

There is only a 24hr waiting period after applying for your marriage license before you can get married..you walk out with the license in hand. FI and I were in and out of the city clerks office in less then 15 mins...you should be fine.

yup 24 hours waiting, bring your birth certificates. they ask you if your parents were both born in the us, and what your job is.. ummm thats about it costs you 40 bucks
