Formal dress for Debutante ball?

Hi All,

I have not ever worn a floor-length formal gown other than at my wedding.  My niece (on my husband's side, who is southern) is "debuting" in December.  Any suggestions for where to find a great long dress in DC/Alexandria area, for under $500 (preferably considerably under)?  I'm short but size 34 G, so I suspect I will have to have tailoring and/or have cups sewn in. Thanks for any suggestions!

    My friend got hers at Bridal Images in Rockville, MD and said the dress and service there was quite pleasant.  Give it a try and good luck finding your debutante gown.
