Affordable Wedding Venues/Banquet Rentals?

Hello,
We are looking for a DIY kind of venue or space that allows outside caterers and alcohol for about 200-250 guests.
Since we have many guests coming from out-of-state, ideally, we'd like to have ceremony and reception in the same place or at least close in location.

Our entire ceremony and reception budget is about $10K. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    Hello,
    we have decided to have our wedding in beverly hills as its somewhere both me and my partner would love to visit, we want to find a wedding venue that caters for intimate wedding for around 20 guests perhaps in a hotel where i could easily speak to regarding decicions or somewhere that has their own wedding planner to deal with everything for me ! 
    Any suggestions would be gratefully received or any people or vendors you think i should avoid that may crop up throughout my research would also be a help.
