Inexpensive Dress

My FSIL is coming to town in 2 weeks and we're planning on going dress shopping.  I haven't been yet, and really need to get started.  Does anyone have any suggestions for where to go for an inexpensive dress?  I'm looking to spend $500 at the very most.  I'm planning Alfred Angelo and David's Bridal, but I'd love other suggestions.

Sorry if this is a ? that's asked all the time.  I found another one a couple pages back, but they were looking up to $1000, and I really can't afford that much.

    2000 Dreams Bridal on Convoy has some dresses in that range, so does PreVue in Grossmont Center.

    If you can check out "Something Blue" on Juan St. in Old Town. Not only is Jeannie the nicest person to work with she has consignment gowns in her shop! Headpieces, veils, shoes, bags...amazing prices.
