  • Re: Could we talk about makeup ....and hair --- again?!

I have Naked 3 which is mostly rose tones and I love it, I have medium skin and darkish hair though. I received Naked Heat as a gift and it has some fun colors in it but I probably wouldn't have purchased for myself because they aren't "every day" colors to me.

My cousin has a Tarte palette that I always try to swipe when we are together, I'm not sure which but the staying power is great for me if you can find one with tones you like.

Ooooh checking out Tarte eyeshadow palettes online and they look great --- thank you!
I just thought of another one. For Christmas I bought the same cousin the Too Faced Clover Palette, it has neutrals and brights all in one. I mostly bought it because it has a narwhal pictured on the front and we love them but she says the quality is great too.

  • Re: Bridal party nightmares--add yours

I think I've mentioned it on these boards before but I was kicked out of a wedding party because the bride's future sister-in-law didn't like my choice in best friend and because I wasn't being "supportive" enough of the bride. The wedding was still about 2 years away when I was kicked out so I'm not sure what support she expected then. I had been friends with the bride since kindergarten and I no longer speak to her thanks to that.

  • Re: Advice Needed!

My H and I did half bottles of homemade wine as our favors because my cousin has been making his own wine (in very large quantities) for years and offered it to us as our wedding gift. It was a huge hit but I will say it was a TON of work and the bottles were surprisingly expensive. It was a lot of effort even though we had access to professional bottling and corking equipment so I can't imagine what it would be like if you didn't have that. We did have 300 guests so if you are having a smaller wedding it could certainly be less work/expense but just something to keep in mind.

  • Re: Top table seating

My H and I sat with our MOH and her husband and our BM and his fiance at a smaller table. The rest of our bridal party sat with their SOs and their respective friend groups and our parents sat with our siblings and other relatives.
