Thank you! We have been registered with our current parish for about a year now, and have received such a warm welcome. My husband will be confirmed at the Easter Vigil and then our convalidation in May, it is such an exciting time right now.
Thank you ladies! I'll be bringing a notebook to practice on Wednesday
I walked down the aisle to "Storybook Love" the theme from Princess Bride, played on the classical guitar. We are both geeks, and it was our way to sneak a little subtle geekiness into the wedding.
It is never polite to tell someone they are not invited. The correct thing to do is send out invitations to those that are invited, and mail out wedding announcements after your wedding to those that are not invited. If anyone asks why they were not invited, simply explain that you wanted to have a small intimate wedding.
We had a photo guestbook and the guests absolutely loved it. We used our engagement photos and our friends and family signed it yearbook style with random notes and messages. For many of our guests it was the only opportunity to view our engagement photos, and we received many compliments both on our wedding day and after the fact. Our guestbook now sits in our curio cabinet, and is one of our favorite keepsakes from our wedding day. That being said, we ordered our photobook from shutterfly and left tons of white space for guests to sign. We ordered personalized ballpoint pens from Vistaprint for guests to use, they did not smear at all and wrote very smoothly. My only complaint was that guests kept our pens.
