It feels fantastic to finally be getting some things crossed off our to-do list. This weekend we went shopping for our bands. I found a beauty that compliments my ring perfectly. FI also found one that he loved.

This is the band alone

My ring with the band....it makes my e-ring look completely different

The band he tried on was rose gold, but his is going to be ordered in white gold.

On Sunday my BM and I all went shopping for their dresses. I had already spotted one online that I liked online and I knew that they just had to try it on. As it turned out, that was the only dress they needed to try on. Because I was completely in LOVE with it as soon as the first girl stepped out in it. The shop owner was so kind and helpful and even gave the ladies $25 off their dresses.

I am so excited and I can't wait to see what they are going to look like in them.

Hey Knotties

Ive been quoted a few prices for wedding djs and they are outrageous. The cheapestive found is 800, they will do the ceremony music, reception, lights and also coordinate everything. Am I being cheap or does that sound like a lot? The vendor has amazing reviews and I believe I will be saving with not having to hire a DOC. What you think?? I would love to hire lil Ray Ray from the hood but im almost positive the quality will not be the same..

GREAT God's Grace news !!!

#1 Im so happy to be an MRS. Life with hubbie is fantastic. We got married and we just stop fighting all together. It may be partially because there really isnt space for it with all that had been going on with his mother.... that brins us to #2

#2... Hubbies mom is doing MUCH MUCH better. We suspect she's gonna get the boot from the hospice facility !! Her renal failure was acute (short term) and seems to had been related to the infection. After rounds of antibiotics she seems to be taking a turn for the better... so.....

#3 We have rescheduled the reception for 9/23/2012. Im very happy about not having to wait too long. It will be a sunday brunch. Hubbie said he's not renting a tux again but, will just wear a suit he owns along with a new shirt that matches. We'll do the same with my sons. We dont have time to get new invites so, I went to www.cocodot.com and created e-invites and also sent out thank you ecards to all the guests that we cancelled on. Thanking them for their time an inconvenience.

God is good, he is the best provider!

So our venue gave us $1,000 off to get married on a Friday. So for us, big bonus. Wedding on Friday. Some of FI's family members are coming from OOT. About a 3hr drive. We already got the confirmation from some that they would definitely come, and some said they can't. Okayy cool. I understand the whole getting off of work and having to drive to make it there by 6:30. I get that. But when its people that live here in this vicintity that call us or msg us and ask why are we having our wedding on a Friday and are being rude about it, thats when I get mad. Like I literally had this convo:
-Why yall getting married on a Friday?
-Discount.
-Yall already spending all this money, yall couldnt pay extra to get married on a Saturday??
-No, we couldn't are you gonna give us the extra 1k, cuz if you are then we'll get married on Saturday.
-I just think you're inconviencing your guests by making them take off of work.
-Look, if you don't want to come you don't have to. The people that really wanna be there will be there. Guests will know the date 6months in advance so they can plan accordingly. Sounds like to me you're just making excuses, so I can just cross you off the list right now.
-I was just saying.
-Well so am I.

Really.?? FI and I aren't asking anybody to take off. Our wedding isn't until 6:30 and we're totally prepared to start at 7 if we have to. I'm sure if you really wanna be there you will make it. I don't have time to stress over this cause forreal the only people that realy need to be there are me, FI, and Pastor. Everybody else can stay the hell home. It's just irritating to hear it back to back. Like I just wanna put on the Save The Dates in bold FRIDAY if you don't like it don't come. I don't know about them, but I know alot of people that look for reasons to get off of work. I'm helping you out.

The dresses are being ordered online and basically I set the Aug 31 deadline but technically they could still order on a later date. So we're a little over a week past the deadline and none of them have mentioned it at all and I'm sure if I don't say anything neither will they. At what point do you put your foot down and what do you say lol? I'm fine if they aren't in the wedding anymore I just need to know as far as ordering the thing I have to purchase for them. Also, everyone will be ordering their shoes in one month. Wedding is in 5 months.
