One little girl looked up in horror, spit her lifesaver out and yelled, 'Oh my gosh! They're butt-holes!
The teacher had to leave the room!

The devotion tonight choked me up.  Every year I do boxes through Samaritan's Purse (Operation Christmas Child).  The devotion was about a girl who also does that and one year she got to go to Costa Rica to help distribute the boxes.  They had handed out all of the boxes but one and there were four children left waiting for the boxes.  They didn't know what to do but decided really all they could do was to split the last box between the four children.  When they opened the box, there was four of everything!

God knew what would happen and I'm sure He planned for this from the time that someone packed the box.  Isn't that amazing?  Coincidence?  I think not.  God is real and He is still working today.

I'm really happy for her and her FI. He actually asked my parents for permission right before my wedding, so we've all been waiting for two and a half months for him to propose. (He finally did this past weekend - right before their seven year anniversary.) I can't relax and I can't find any peace. I'm just a worry wort! My FI is going to his Bach party three hours away this weekend, and I'm worried something will happen to him and the wedding won't happen (yes I know dumb thing to worry about). 
I also live in a city that floods a lot! Well of course I choose an April wedding and we are expecting flooding, at this point no one knows when the river will rise and how much.  The problem is my church is an area that could cause it to be closed due to the flood and I had to have a plan B church.  I'm so worried about the plan B church cause it's just not as nice. (Again dumb to worry about because at least I have a plan B and at least I'm still getting married).
So if you could just say a quick prayer for me that I will calm myself and relax. Also can you pray for FI's travel this weekend and for the river not to rise until after the wedding.

Now that I have my own program and we're doing plays, I needed a master carpenter.  I couldn't afford to hire one, so it was handy-dandy H to the rescue.  He's done other small projects for shows I've worked on in the past, but this year he was key to us having a set at all.

On Saturday, my mom got her dress for the wedding! Ok, I know it has nothing to do with me, but I am happy for her! I also did my taxes that day. Not fun at all, but it's DONE!

Sunday after church, FI and I picked up our wedding bands. Yay!! 

Sunday afternoon, my MOH and I went to the seamstress for the first dress fitting- so fun! And the seamstress is pregnant, so there was a lot of wedding talk and baby talk going on- stuff I love! 

After that, MOH and I did some shower planning. She ordered the invitations, which are SO cute and she shared all her ideas with me- all great! 

Today I called Target to straighten out the registry because certain things were showing up on the kiosks in the store but not online. They are "researching it."

Ok, I know it's not that many things, but I felt productive and I was excited! 

Any other fun checks going on with you girls?

Last week, he got an email from that company, saying they had a few openings and they wanted to talk to him and catch up. They did, and not only did they invite him for an interview, they offered to show him around the city since he hasn't really been up there before. He is feeling really good about it; the company grew 20% last year, which is pretty impressive considering the current economic climate, and it's looking like he would be able to get a decent salary increase if he got it.

Please pray that he ends up at a place that will allow us to begin our marriage on solid financial footing.
