Prices start at $199 during the Brides Against Breast Cancer charity wedding gown tour. The sale, which benefits the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, features gowns that have been donated by retailers, designers, individuals and manufacturers. Pay $10 to attend the "Power Pre-Sale" 10 a.m.-noon Friday. Admission is free noon-6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 10. Scottsdale Cottonwoods Resort & Suites, 6160 N. Rehearsal Dinner - VENT!!!

ARGH!!!! I know, I know - not my place to plan the rehearsal dinner. Totally up to my FI and his family. But OMG, I ask one question, and I'm already having a panic attack. I'm super organized, the wedding isn't until March and I've got pretty much most things planned and done already. Anything left is minor.

I asked him what he wanted to do for the dinner, how many people he wanted to invite, etc. and I get "eh, whatever" in response. So I said what about someplace like Buca di Beppo - it can hold a lot of people and no room fee, has a decent menu... he said, no he wants it at Spinato's. Okay, fine. It's his favorite pizza place, we can meet with them, figure out a menu, whatever. So then I said well you'll have to call and get something figured out for food, reservations, etc once we know how many people. His answer? Nah, I'll just give them a heads up a week or so before. WHAT??!!??!! Seriously. This is when I had a fit and he couldn't understand why. Especially when he intends to invite not only our wedding party, but all our OOT guests as well so they have something to do the night before. That could end up being between 50 and 75 people. And you want to "give them a heads up" the week before??

As I said, ARGH.

Hi everyone! I live in Peoria and just got engaged on August 6th. We will be together for 1 year on September 6th, and are planning our wedding for July 14th. We are planning a vintage style wedding with damask and classic pink accents. I really love the ostrich feather centerpieces in the trumpet style vases. Hotel rooms for OOT guests

How soon should you call the hotels around your venue to block off rooms for your OOT guests? We're getting married in March, so invitations won't go out until January, but we'll probably order them around the end of October or so. I wanted to send out hotel info with the invitations, but thought that was too soon to have rates included. When do you think I'll be able to get a block of rooms at a discounted rate for my guests?

Mostly I lurk but I did a search for Virginia's House to see if anyone had any info/expierence/thoughts about this location but I couldn't find much...Any input would be appreciated!

Looking for a SUPER budget friendly location that would allow self catering and bringing my own alcohol. I'm hoping to find a place for 1000 or less (for the venue/chairs/tables. Just the basics. I'm not expecting to get food or decorations for that price :)). I have thought/looked into parks (or even someone's backyard but I don't know anyone with a big enough backyard willing to take on that responsiblity) but then there's the added need for renting chairs/tables etc and I'd prefer to avoid that extra stress lol. Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts I'd love to hear them :) Oh, we will prob have approx 80 guests. TIA!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Priscillas of Boston will be closing and they are not taking new alterations appointment. I am personally picking up my dress tommorrow as I dont trust them to hold my dress after what happended with I do Ido and Twirl. I suggest calling them immediately if you have a dress order in with them in order to see what your options are. I dont trust that any of these bridal stores will stay in business...

I am in need some help. We are planning to do our e-session Oct 14th in the late afternoon. I know there have been posts about locations that would be good, which I am interested in as well, but I also need some ideas on themes and/or props. This is a second wedding for both of us and we are both very laid back and love sports, movies, music, and being with our Kids and 2 pugs. Wedding night hotel recommedations

I wanted to stay at the JW marriott Desert Ridge its beautiful they have a huge resort where our out of town guests can come hang out with us the following day by their massive pools and lazy river however, they want $500 for a reg room for one night in April!!! Yikes! Does anyone have anyother ideas?

We've got pretty much everything set (I'm way ahead of where I should be at this point - yay!) - except our bar. I'm looking at three: Pourmasters, Arizona Bartenders and Your Perfect Pour. Anyone have good/bad reviews on any of them?

They all seem to fit in my price range with their packages, however, Arizona Bartenders looks like it's the only one that includes the champagne toast. The others I think I have to provide it - correct?

I've seen some really cheap looking ones at the rental store but I'd like something a little nicer - that's sturdy - and can hold a vase/floral arrangement.
