How to become an officiant in Arizona?

We want our best friends to officiate our wedding. How difficult is it to get them legally able to marry us? The Arizona website doesn't really define "pastor" very well and if we do one of those online certifications we want it be legal.

HI, I am looking for lower cost venues in Tucson, Arizona for a wedding in the summer of 2016. I want something authentic to Tucson and gives my guests a desert getaway feel. Does anyone know a venue that could keep me in the $10,000 range? I plan to marry on a Friday so I know that should help as far as pricing, I hope.

Ceremony Only Venues

Initially we were planning on having a big wedding, but decided to do a very small ceremony instead followed by dinner. I'm having such a hard time finding a place for the ceremony! I've looked at the Parks/Special Places here in Tucson, but am a little iffy. Has anyone gotten married there or attended an event at any of them? I've also reached out to St. Philips Plaza, but haven't gotten a response yet. I've also looked at San Pedro Chapel, but $500 is a little much for a ceremony. Any other suggestions?

Stillwell House opening 4/11/15

Hello! My fiancé and I put 1000 dollars down to reserve our wedding date for April 11th at the stillwell house. However, we recently decided we would just elope and spend the money we would have spent on the ceremony and take ourselves on an awesome honeymoon. That being said, we are planning on canceling our contract at stillwell. The 1000 dollars we already put down is non refundable, so we would ideally love it if we found someone to take the date and deposit from us and hopefully work a way to get our money back. Is anyone interested in having their wedding at stillwell? Last I heard, every Saturday in April is already booked, so if you were looking for a wedding in April, this would be perfect for you.

Hi fellow Tucson and Arizona Brides! I'm in need of some help/advice. I was wondering if anyone could give some opinions on photographers, and prices if that is not too personal of a question. I really don't know where to start and as far as budget goes I don't want to set a budget for our photographer until I know what prices generally rage. I feel I can always move the budget around and put more towards photography and less towards something else. Hope this makes sense and thanks again for the help and suggestions! I bought my dress off-the-rack up in Phoenix, and am looking to have my alterations done closer to home in Tucson. My friend who got married a couple years ago sings huge praises for Elsa (I only have a first name, unfortunately), at David's Bridal. Elsa no longer works for DB and they can't / won't give out contact info for her since obviously they can't steer business away from their in-house alterations, but someone did tell me she works independently now.

I tried the number at http://www.tucsoncentral.com/tucson-business-directory/elsas-alterations and there doesn't seem to be an Elsa at that number.

Anybody have any leads? I would be forever in your debt!

Tucson Wedding Planning Tips

Just want to share my experience on local vendors. I was married at 5600 N. Via Elena, April 2013 and we are still waiting to receive our deposit. They did not provide a wedding planner and we had to rent everything. Which would have been okay, but local vendors are not familiar enough and making an appointment to see the house was nearly impossible. Laura's Bridal: I wanted to buy from a locally owned vendor, however 2 of my bridesmaids said they had a horrible experience. One of my bridesmaids picked up my dress and it was the right style but the wrong size. I think it was the sample dress. I kept saying the dress felt big but everyone said it looked great and that I had lost weight. After we exchanged vows I couldn't take it anymore and asked my Maid of Honor what size the dress was...it was a 10. Mine was a size 4 and had been taken in. I was extremely disappointed because we had already taken all formal pictures. In the shop's defense, they delivered the proper dress to the reception. Rincon Market did an amazing job, unfortunately they recently experienced a fire and not sure when they will be open for business. Extreme Limousine: The limo was to pick me and my bridesmaids up at home, but went to the church instead. Phat Photo Factory was amazing!! Nadine's Bakery amazing!! Arizona Party Rental was a huge disappointment. They were to deliver and set-up but forgot layout and were waiting for the decorator to get there with her layout. I think that's it. Bottom line, get a wedding planner or someone with great attention to detail. Good luck!!

Best priced Hotels in Tucson AZ for blocking rooms

I am looking for some suggestions on:

a.) Where the best price/deals for blocked rooms are in Tucson (5 miles around U of A) or west side.
b.) how to block rooms\
c.) how to figure out how many rooms to block
d.) is there wiggle room
e.) when to do it. Will i get a better deal if I do it within a certain amount of months from wedding

I ask all these questions because my parents stayed at a nice Holiday Inn in Tucson (grant and I-10) for 129 a night a year from the wedding date and they liked it. I called to see what type of deal they could give was and they only said 109.

FS: purple and silver table numbers

These are the table numbers that I made. The fabric is glued onto the back of the frames, but is not very obvious. They stand on their own. The numbers are hand painted silver and made of wood.

There are two different types of frames.

all of the odds are this frame

all of the evens are this frame

I'm asking $40 for all of them plus shipping or I'll meet to give them to you if you are in the area (Tucson, AZ but I am often in Peoria, AZ so may be able to meet in Phoenix also). The frames alone cost 3 times this.
