Hi AllI have some items for sale from my 9/17 wedding and would prefer Los Angeles pick up for these items. i also want to sell them in the quantity that I have together and not break them apart. I live in West LA. 1. 95 mason jars ball 12 oz with cover. $70. I used this to serve lemonade2. about 160 of striped gray and white straws. $73. about 120 20" sparklers will last for 1.5 minutes. $454. 24 card holders. $205. 24 lily bowl vase glass, about 6" diameter. $70. We are discussing having a very small outdoors wedding. My fiance liked the idea of temescal canyon because he had a great experience there when he was young, but he is open to other outdoor locations. He hates the beach, so maybe something woodsy or even desert. Any ideas?

Can anyone give me suggestions for on location bridal beauty artists in the Los Angeles area (wedding in Redondo Beach) who are competent with all manner of ethnicities hair and make-up? I am African-American and my bridal party runs the gamut from Norwegian to Middle Eastern so you can see how having someone who specializes in one type of hair or skin would be problematic. I would like to pay less than $500 for my hair and make-up alone but that is what I have been quoted so far. Any help on this one?

Price for Wedding Cake for 100

Hi Ladies,

So I've been talking to a few bakeries about my wedding cake. I've gotten price quotes ranging from $600-$1200-1300. I really don't want to spend too much money on cake when nobody really eats the stuff. From all the weddings I've attended it seems as if no one touches it (or is left mostly half eaten) and is mostly a prop for pictures. What is a fair price for a cake? The design I want is fairly simple, and I'm tempted to have a baker make one small tier for my FI and me to cut into and have the rest of the cake be made of foam covered in fondant. I could just serve sheet cake to the guests, and no one would be the wiser (or so I hope). Does that seem horrible and tacky? Suggestions would be much appreciated.
