Can anyone recommend a great florist, but one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?? Flowers are important to me but i have to stay on a tight budget.. i was thinking around 1000-1500 for flowers.. Can you also tell me how much you it cost you, IDK how much flowers usually run.

Hi LA ladies!

I was married on August 7 and it was the BEST day of my life! I had some really amazing vendors and I wanted to share them with you because I want everyone to have an amazing day like I did.

Mon Amie Bridal Salon: A

I had Nataly as my dress consultant and she was amazing. I brought in several pictures of the dresses I liked and with that she pulled 7 out of the 7000 dresses into my dressing room. I had a 3,000 budget but she ended up bringing in a dress that was only $1,700 and to my surprise it was the one! I had wonderful experiences there and highly recommend it. It can be a bit pricey is the only thing but I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world in that dress and it was worth every penny!

Nichole Shockely, hair and makeup: A+++++++

I think she was my favorite vendor. Not only is she very nice and responsive, but she is amazing and talented. I brought in a TON of pictures of hair and makeup I liked and she just went right to work during the trial and nailed exactly what I was looking for! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup and I felt so gorgeous thanks to her. Picture below. HIGHLY recommend. Oh and she is affordable!

Butterfly Floral and Event Design: A++++++++

A little pricey but worth every single penny. In fact, I would have paid more. I told her what I wanted and she EXCEEDED my expectations. My bouquet was so gorgeous it brought me to tears. Everyone talked about my centerpieces and how it looked like a movie star wedding. She really made the wedding. I cannot recommend her enough, honestly. Pic below. The pictures don't do it justice and aren't professional.

Socal DJ, Eric: A+

Eric was an amazing DJ. He is so mellow and all the meetings we had prior to the wedding he was not salesy at all and just listened to what we wanted. He did everything we wanted and kept people on the dancefloor all night. He was truly amazing and the best part is that he is affordable. He also offers uplighting which was a plus for us.

Malibu Mariachi: A

They were a great mariachi band. They played everything we requested, were on time and professional. Priceier than most but well worth it.

Subito Strings: A+

We hired them for a string trio to play when I walked down the aisle and they were amazing. But what makes them even MORE amazing is they play modern music like Michael Jackson, Coldplay, Radiohead, etc. Seriously, this is a must have at any weddding! Amazing!

Photobooth Pro: A+

The photobooth was a hit at our wedding and people couldn't stay out of that thing. It was the best time and the props and scrapbook were awesome.

Rossmor Pastries: A

We got their cupcakes and they were phenomenal. The only thing that sucked was that we had to pay a $250 deposit to rent a cupcake stand but we go the money back right away and the stand was gorgeous.

Twin Ravens Press: A

This is something I have to share. Twin Ravens Press does letterpress inivites and was the cheapest I could find and the invites were GORGEOUS. They looked like they cost thousands but they didn't. Highly recommended.

Tina Molina Events: A

Tina was our Day of Coordinator and did a great job. Some things went a little haywire but she took care of everything. I had the most perfect day of my life and hardly felt any stress and she was a big part of that. Definitely recommend.

Nataly Lemus Photography: A

I don't have my wedding pictures back yet but I got the teaser above and love it. She also did our engagement pictures which we loved. She and her husband are great and also affordable.

On Bended Knee Productions:

I don't have my video back yet since I just got married but I think it will be great and he was very easy to work with.

Looking for small ceremony venue

The problem we are having is that we want my fiance's father, an ordained minister from Arizona (also licensed in CA), to perform the ceremony and would like to keep the cost at $500 or less. FI and I flew to Colorado (where I was born and raised) 2 weeks ago for my Uncles wedding and received an astonishing amount of negativity towards the fact that we aren't having our wedding in CO (and why would we)!

I shouldn't feel obligated to get married there just because it's where I was born and raised. All this has me in a major funk!

How do I address family members who have such negativity towards our decision to get married in CA (where we live and where we plan to raise a family)? Especially, when one of them is your Gramma!?

I'm a grudge holder. It's my flaw and sometimes I just can't push passed it. And now part of me just wants to axe my family from the guest list (with a few exceptions) since they're finding it so hard to be supportive.

Hey all! I have been trying to put together a few venue options for my honey and I to look over when he gets home. I came across this place called the hidden chateau, located in Woodland Hills. Its sooo pretty but I was wondering if anyone has been to a ceremony here or has been to the grounds at all? I called to schedule a tour but the lines have been busy all morning.

I like the idea of an outdoor wedding, and this venue deffinately suits our style, but we are talking about getting married on halloween... Any thoughts there? I know Halloween in the SFV area can be testy at best. The last two years have been very temprate, weather wise... I hope SOMEONE has been to this place.... Thanks in advance everyone!

Bridesmaids Dresses from DB

So i went to get my girls fitted about 3 weeks ago at Davids Bridal. I only had 4 out of my 7 although one is on the east coast i just emailed her all the information she would need for ordering. so anyways, they had told me that they would arrive beg of january and that wasnt the case. i got a phone call on saturday saying that their dresses were in fact in and that they could ship them for free....

my first ? is... they request all the girls information when they purchase the dress so why would they call me to let my BM know they arrived? and second, they offered to ship them for free so it is wrong for me to have them shipped to my house and hold them until we are all ready in feb for fittings? since i am storing my dress at my aunts house (she lives alone) has lots of closet space for storing and i already asked.

Hello hello! I recently received a Black Friday quote from The D'Jay Company and it is an absolute killer deal but I just am not to familiar with the company being that this is my first wedding! Yikes, I need help! Any advice and/or information about The D'Jay Company would be so helpfull!!They're Black Friday Special they quoted me is DJ/MC, 30 Led Uplights, Pin spot on the cake, custom gobo for 4 hours AND an Itouch PhotoBooth for two hours. Sounds like such a good deal I am hesitant cause I dont know anything about them. I guess it's for the first 5 people who call in on Black Friday, Anyway, any help would so much be appreciated!
