But do you guys know of anyone who has had experience with The Palace Grill's catering in Santa Barbara?

FI and I love the restaurant, and they advertise themselves as full service caterers, but I can't find any reviews from anyone who has actually used them for an off-site event.

I know we don't have a ton of SB brides on this forum, but any info would be much appreciated. FI REALLY wants to use them, and so do I, but I just would like to hear that somebody had a successful event with them before I book them. Thank you!

So I am sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a post, so I am starting my own.

Where are some good locations in the LA area (from Venice to Seal Beach) to take some great EPics? I've always wanted to do a hedge maze shoot, but I don't know of any in the area, so I am trying to get new ideas for FI and I. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Hi ladies! I know I've been MIA but FI and I decided to get married back in Florida so I've been spending all of my time on that board. We would like to tie LA into the wedding somehow so we want to take our engagement pics here, but I have no idea about the photographers here (my brain is already overwhelmed by Tampa photographers). Does anyone have any good or bad experiences that they can share?

Help! 7 days to the wedding & i need new makeup

Hi all! Only 7 days away, can you freaking believe it? I can't...
Anyway, I did a practice run with my bare minerals for my wedding, and it left me flakey. This is normally what I wear (I hate makei up) but its not going to work for all day coverage for the wedding.

So, I need recs for foundation and conceler for the wedding ASAP! I was going to just go to the mall and wander around, but I want to know which counter to go to.

Here is what I heard so far:
1. Mac is great for color, but makes you break out, and can make you look oily
2. Same thing about Clinique
3. Este Lauder is for old people

And that is all I have to go on ladies! I am not a make up girl, so I am freaking out.

I am prone to oily skin and redness, so I want something oil free, preferably light, as I hate the feel of most make up on my skin.

I need foundation and conceler.

I purchased my dress from David's bridal in Oxnard and am not sure I want to have do the alterations so I thought maybe someone on the list could tell me who they had alter their gown. I'll need a hem, and cups sown into the dress, maybe taken in slightly up top. I found a place in downtown ventura called sew what and when I walked in the lady said they specialize in wedding gown alterations.

Opinions please: Ceremony at Chapel in Memorial Park

Okay, so I'm really curious what everyone thinks about our possible ceremony site. My fiance and I are having a very small wedding with a reception at a restaruant afterward. It was a bit of a chore finding a nice place where we could do a ceremony only on a Friday evening

I really want the ceremony to be nice and I've always thought about being married in a chapel. So I stumbled upon Waverly Chapel in Santa Ana and it is an adorable chapel that will be great for pictures and I honestly love the way it looks. The only thing is it's on the grounds of a memorial park. It's located right through the gate though, so you don't have to really go into the memorial grounds to get to it.

What do you ladies think? I've been getting pretty mixed reviews, some people think it's perfectly fine (especially after they see pictures), others are a bit put off. But I really fell in love with the chapel. I'm curious to see what other people think though. Thanks!

We will be getting married September 16, 2011. We decided to forgo the big traditional wedding and will be having a small intimate ceremony and dinner reception with 30 of our closest family and friends.

So Ladies I just wanted to pass on info...I actually did it this morning!

you CAN change your name SAME DAY at SS office and DMV...

Make sure to take your SS card and Marriage Certificate you'll fill out the form and they give you a receipt and your done, I was in and out in 10 min.

DMV (ay ay ay) 2 hours non- appointment

Take your ID or DL, Marriage certificate and if you want to change the tittle of you car BUT in my case I couldn't because I have a lienholder so I need to go through the bank 1st.

It was $25 make sure to be ready for a new photo. The actualy process didn't take long but I waited 45min to enter the bldg and then another 15 min to get to the lady to give me a # to get checked in...then waited an hour to have a teller person help me and waited 10min in line to take a photo.

But it's OFFICIAL I made the name change!

Tried going to the bank but they wanted my physical ID/DL...so that will be till I get everything in the mail which they said 5-10 business days.
