I know how hard it is to find a good DJ and who knows...the testimonials you read could be total bull! We got married in June and I want to recomend my DJ. HE WAS AMAZING!

I can not say enough amazing things about him...we didn't need a coordinator because he kept everything on track, his music choices were amazing, his transistions were amazing and he even helped out in other places of set up when he was done setting up!!! He just started his own company after leaving the company he was working with for YEARS and he has over 16 years of experience! You will not regret meeting with him!

Hey guys! I hae a LOT of OOT guests and I really want to do welcome bags. I'm planning on including a brochure of wedding activities/local attractions/contact info, a local map, water bottles, maybe some Starbucks Via, and what else?

I'd really like to give them a local treat. I was considering See's Candies (which is sort of local, even though it's SF-based), but I can't find anything fro less than $7 online. (I was thinking a 2 or 4 piece container of chocolates - no luck.) I don't want to spend more than $2-$3 on whatever it is I find, per bag, since I'll have seriously 20-30 bags. Any ideas?

Now I'm stressing...

If someone of you remember the offiiciant we were using could no longer do it for us well FI trying to be very sweet said he would take on that task...well he has not and 6 weeks to go and we need to get a move on. No time to waste!!!

So in less than 30mins I've been 3 email asking for pricing and availability

I had to share...

So Friday to our surprise UPS calls FI and is asking him to buzz him in he is like well what do you have cux we haven't ordered anything.

He said its from Williams Sonoma. It was a gift from my Aunt in New York. I was soooo happy to get our 1st gift and in the mail!!! It was the beautiful rice cooker I asked for I couldn't believe it

So I was also very happy because I sent my 1st Thank You note.

Just had to share the good news!

I purchased too many wine glasses for wedding favors and would really like to get rid of them.

I also purchased 20 satin tablecloths, they were only used once. The have also been washed and would just need to be lightly pressed before use. Buy these from me and save hundreds! Instead of renting have the chance to resell after your wedding!

Hey Knotties!

My fiance and I are looking into having our wedding at The Hacienda in Santa Ana. The package is really afforadable and from pictures it looks pretty nice (we have an appointment to check it out in person next week).

I was just wondering, is it too good to be true?

I would love to hear from anyone who has gotten married there, been to a wedding there, or considered having their wedding there.

Any advice that anyone can give about affordable wedding venues in Orange County or the LA area would be EXTREMELY helpful! I just received my "7 Months to Go" email from The Knot today! AAAHHH!!!

Beach Venues in California

At this point, my fiance and I rather not have our wedding directly on the beach. However, we still have not completely ruled out the idea. What are your suggestions?

Looking on the Dessy website they do the perfect little pumps incase my feet hurt at the reception with a cute little bow for only £20 but the sizes are all half sizes, i've checked the other pumps they do and they are the same

We got married in May but could not take an extended honeymoon because of our work schedules. Plus, I let my husband pick the destination and he was going to plan everything and surprise me. At the wedding, he announced it was going to be Ireland! I was so excited. Well, as of this morning, (it only took him three months) the trip is planned. We are going to Ireland in October!

FH and I are picking our invitations, and found some we really like on Zazzle. I wanted to see if anyone else had ordered from here, and how it looked and how the quality was. If anyone has actual photos of their invites from Zazzle, I would love to see them before I order the sample (as the smallest amount is 10).

We are looking at something thats a solid color, so I am not sure how the quality will be, as the color would be printed on white/whiteish paper.

Officiant Dilemma!

Ok Ladies I'm in a pickle here...

The person we had initially asked to marry us can NO LONGER do it. I'm trying to remain clam....{{{breathe in....breathe out}}}

We are 2 months from wedding day.

I have NO CLUE what an officiant cost...I'm so nervous of the fact that everyone will be booked because it's soooo close to the date.

FI is trying to see if maybe we can get a friend or family member to be ordained and do it...and if that doesn't work then we need to pay someone which honestly is the last thing we need.

The bank acct is getting smaller and smaller as the day approcahes...

Suggestions...recommendations? HELP please!

Hello girls!

So I know we've mentioned having a DIY GTG before but we have not done it, so I was thinking its about time! I'm up for helping all you knotties who need help on any DIY projects for your wedding. Us "married hags" can give you a hand and make this GTG beneficial :)

We can do it at my mom's house, located in Baldwin Park (SGV), I'm sure she'll have no problem having us there. Also I was thinking the weekend of September 11th, before summer ends.

So what do you ladies think? Are you in?

Engagement session venues?

Hello Knotties!

Would love any suggested engagement session venues. :) Ideally, we are looking for a formal/manicured garden. We are getting married close to the beach and celebrating our reception in a ballroom -- so we felt an outdoor, garden setting would help set our e-photos apart from our wedding photos.

Greystone Mansion and the gardens at Langham Pasadena have the feel that we are going for... but I'm not sure that either allows e-sessions.

FH too involved? Is feeling irritated normal?

Vent!

My FH and I had a fight yesterday because I bought some stuff for the wedding without asking him his opinion. They are for the centerpieces! Keep in mind, we have a strict $10,000 budget for 175 guests, so I was going to use a combo of free centerpieces at our reception site, spruced up with some water light cubes and a few purple clear rocks. I spend $100 (in the budget) for this stuff, and he freaked out yesterday. I sware we had several conversations about it (because free+$100 for 20 centerpieces is a freaking steal).

On top of that, I had discussed with him a cake toper, either the initials or a crystal engraved heart with our names and the date. He said he liked the crystal better than the monogram, so I bought it (for $14.96 including personalization), and yesterday, he tells me that was not an approval to use it.

I was apologetic yesterday, but the more I think about it, the madder I get! He says he wants to be involved and have an opinion, but when I say its time to go to LA to buy stuff, or meet with the florist, or address the Save the Dates, he complains and wants to stay home and not be involved. Them when I do things without him, he gets REALLY mad!

I love my FH, and we have been together a long time. But as it gets closer (we are 116 days away as of today) he is starting to irritate me. He never gets mad, and in 6 years, I can count the times he is mad and we fight under ten.

Is this normal? Stress of the wedding? What should I do? I think if I bring this up again, he is only going to get mad all over again before hearing me out.
