Hi Knotties! I am planning a very small and intimate wedding next year (Oct 2011) but I'm having a hard time not including my nieces and nephews. I have 9 in total and I don't think it's fair to iinclude only a few as flower girls/ring bearer. I know it sounds crazy but I love those kids to death. I would love to have them be part of the wedding in any way. I read a blog that suggested they walk in front of me as I make my way down the aisle. Any other ideas as to how I can include them? It can be either at the ceremony or the reception. Thanks!

So, I have had my heart set on an amsale dress for quite some time now, but the price tag is way out of my league. I have found a few people online that will recreate the dress for a ridiculously low price, but I am nervous bc they aren't within driving distance, so I would be taking a serious risk. I would have to send the person my measurements and hope it turns out awesome. Have any of you done this?? Does anyone have a person they would recommend that could do it for a reasonable price? Also, do any of you living in and around LA know of someone around here that I could actually meet in person. Im also not a huge fan of pre-worn dress sites such as, preownedweddingdresses.com, because it's the same thing as far as me not really knowing what Im getting until I pay for it and receive it. Thanks so much ladies!! and Happy Planning!

So I'm going to rant for awhile !!! Sorry for the bridezilla moment !!! LoL

On july 14th I contacted all my vendors via e-mail just to check in since I really haven't spoken to any of them since we booked them over a year ago. All of them contacted me within a day or two except our florist.

I wanted to get ahold of our florist the most just because when we meet with him the first time it was over a year ago and alot has changed within that year. We added a bridal party and a whole lot changed with the centerpeices because when we did our trial with him I didn't really like it so we changed alot of it, but nothing was ever talked about how much more it was going to cost us. So as of right know I have no clue how much we owe our florist.

So with all of that said I tried to contact him thru the phone on the 19th. An assistant answered and said he was out and that she would give him the message and he would call me back same day. NOTHING

I understand that alot of vendors our busy and it is wedding season, but ALL my other vendors got back to me within reasonable time why couldn't he ?? right??

So then on the 22nd I e-mailed him letting him know that is was quit rude that he hadn't gotten back to me and how upset I was for not knowing details on cetain things.

He finally called me the next day which was releaving. Since I was so anxious to find out how much we still owe him and more details, but all he told me is that he would e-mail me the new proposal A.S.A.P and we would have our final meeting 2 weeks before the wedding. I said that was fine and that was that. Mind you this was early friday morning. NOTHING FRIDAY !!! NOTHING SATURDAY!!! NOTHING SUNDAY !!! NOTHING MONDAY !!!!

I'M SOOOOO ANNOYED !!

I don't even know how much we owe this guy and we are 2 months away. WHAT THE HECK !!!!
I'm starting to maybe think if I can rely on this guy!! we gave him a deposit of $550.00 and from the proposal over a year ago we still owe him $2300.00 ( which is not right since things have changed).Should we try to find someone cheaper and just let go of that $550.00 deposit or am I being a total bridezilla and should give him a week or so ???

PLEASE HELP

We wanted to steer away from the more standard and traditional gifts of necklaces, bracelets, watches and personalized stuff. BUT come to realize (after reading other boards here on the knot) that shopping for them as if it's their birthday is the best gift.....but for most of our bridal party that would just turn out to be super expensive.

Do you guys have any ideas?

HELP! =(

Brides!

This is my first post. yay! ok... now to details.

So wedding is November 13th. I have an AMAZING photographer (Rob Greer) and want to take advantage of him as much as I can.

He suggested, and I think its a good idea to take our weing pictures BEFORE the ceremony to take advantage of the day light since the sun does set so much earlier. Thing is... my fiance really doesnt want to. He really wants to see me walking down the aisle for the first time... and I can understand... Im just scared we will run out of time.

How are you planning it? Any advice? Our ceremony time is set for 3pm (which probably means 3:30pm) and our reception starts at 5pm. Our ceremony and reception site are in the same place so people only have to literally walk a about 30 feet to the reception from the ceremony site.

Im stressing over this... but am sure it will tien out just fine. Just need some advice.

Thanks!

She has been doing this for quite some time.

Had our wedding still been in October, she wouldnt have been able to do it because she is expecting and is due in August. Now that the wedding is next summer, she is all in!

As you may have picked up, I love to have control on just about EVERYTHING!

Do I let her do all my wedding paper stuff or do I try to do it myself?
