Hi ladies,

Is anyone doing spray tanning for their wedding? (Or has anyone done it w/ good results in the past?) I don't want to be pasty (as our wedding is in mid June) but don't want to do tanning beds because they're horrible for you. I used the Jergen's foam & face lotion for my friend's wedding last month, but only used it for a week and just got really subtle color.

I've heard good things about airbrush tanning--has anyone tried it? My sister did the Mystic Tan a couple years ago & it looked really orange, so I think that option's out. I also want to make sure the color doesn't rub off of my dress! Thinking of trying it out a couple weeks beforehand too to make sure it looks OK. Open to recommendations for salons in the Wallingford area, too!! :) Thx!

I am worried I will hate my trial? She seems to have good reviews. Larrisa lake timing will not work for my day. Others will not travel to MA. What do I do? My other option is blushing brides who will do my hair and makeup day of at my house. With Naomi I am paying for 5 to travel to MA even though I have 3. I can deal with that if the makeup is amazing. What is a future bride to do?

Hey Ladies,
I'm new to this board. My FI and I got engaged last year. We set a date of June 1st 2013. After the engagement we got pregnant & just had our baby girl about a month ago. Now that she is born and things are settling in it's time to really start planning this wedding. We are going for a simple laid back country/outdoors wedding. I have a few questions because I'm just starting to ask around for prices and creating a budget. And we are on a slim budget. FI's parents are giving us a small amount of money but I have yet to broach the subject with my parents. I'm setting our budget as if my parents aren't adding anything. I don't expect them to have to contribute and money is tight all around.

So here are my questions if you don't mind asking:

-For the church they are charging $200 for the organist, $75 for the sextons & then an voluntary honorarium for the minister. What is a good amount for the minister? The ceremony is at the church & I am a member. We also will be having a few meetings with him prior to the wedding.

-I'm also looking for recomendations on:

	-horse/carriage rental

	-tent/dance floor retals

	-photographers

Thanks ladies!

Is anyone here familiar with IN|Focus Wedding Films based out of Boston? They travel throughout New England and seem to be affordable, but FI and I are a bit wary because we can't find any reviews for them. On their website, they provide a link to a 5-star review on Weddingwire, but we realized that that review is actually about a different videography company (also located in Boston) with essentially the same name. So, we're a bit suspicious... even if the review was simply posted in the wrong place (which would be easy to do because of the name similarity) why make a point of linking to it, directly? No other reviews are provided on their Weddingwire page, so it seems to be a bit misleading.

The owner of the IN|Focus videography company we are inquiring about is named John Francis, while the other Infocus videography company is run by a woman named Elena Coyne.

Here's the one we're wondering about: http://www.infocusweddingfilms.com/

And here's the other one: http://infocusvideo.com/

From what I can tell, the two companies are not related.

I posted about this on the Boston board, but I wanted to ask here, as well, because they are listed as a featured vendor on The Knot for the CT section.

So my FI and I have our engagement photos are June 5th, a tuesday. We wanted to have our photos done at a vineyard in our town, and i contacted one of the owners about it. She was very excited, said it was no problem, all she asked was that we be sure to put on photos on their facebook page when we got them back. It suddenly occured to me today that the vineyard is closed for business Mon-Wed. Now when I spoke to her I def gave her the date, so part of me assumes it will still be ok, but if not, I need a backup plan, and rather soon. I emailed the owner of the vineyard this morning to specifically ask if using their site is still a yes even though it's on a tuesday. If we end up not being able to go there, does anyone have any suggestions? Our photographers are out of the danbury area, and will travel up to 1hr for free (anything over an hour is an extra $200, so we want to keep their travel within that 1 hour range)

So here's my dilemma:

We are getting married on a Sunday (Church is in Fairfield, Reception is at Woodwinds in Branford , FI and I as well as immediate family lives in Shelton area) and trying to figure out the best place to book hotel blocks. (I know I asked awhile back about suggestions in Branford). We are trying to figure out what will be most conveinent because a lot of family will be coming in from OOT on Saturday or maybe even earlier that that. Originally we were thinking the Holiday Inn in Branford because it's close to Woodwinds and people will be tired/drinking at the end of the night so that is the most conveinent. However, now knowing that extended family might be spending extra time here, I'm wondering if it makes sense to reserve a block in Milford/Shelton because it's closer to family and to the church. Or should we reserve blocks in both and give people the option.

Any suggestions?

Ok so I need opinions... When I originally went BM shopping we all decided on this dress: http://www.billlevkoff.com/style/bridesmaid-dress/173 but I'm not completely sold. I would have the bow in the back removed and it become a loop hole sash. Heres the dilema my sister MOH really likes it... so I was thinking that they BM (there's 3 of them) could all be similar but a little different... There dress would all be the same colors Lilac with a champagne sash but each one would have a different dress... the 3 dress would be the original for my sister and then http://www.billlevkoff.com/style/bridesmaid-dress/525 for my sister in law and http://www.billlevkoff.com/style/bridesmaid-dress/125 for my best friend.

What do you think? Should I stick with them all having the first dress... or should I go with the different dresses that are all very similar?

You don't realize all the little things that go into planning a wedding until you're doing it. We are getting married at LPP in june. As much as I LOVE this venue its definitely a stressful one. You have to think of every tiny detail yourself. But it is also pretty fun. I was just wondering if anyone else was getting married there what your set up is going to be like? Or just share some fun things. Just wanna see what other people are doing with this venue. Also where are you holding the ceremony??

We're from Southern CT and were hoping for some suggestions for a cute ceremony location. We thought maybe a nautical theme would be cute, but am not sure how we feel about the beach. Any other thoughts/specific places near New Haven county??
