I am trying to find an affordable wedding location somewhere around the Cocoa Beach/ Melbourne area. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to the location of the event I just don't want it to be in a church. I will be having at least a hundred guests. Any recommendation would be welcome. Thanks

Anyway, my wedding is in September...yes, I'm failing at planning. I'm a procrastinator. I need ideas for an affordable venue that would work with a Shakespeare theme. I'm not doing a super themy wedding, but I do want touches of Shakespeare involved, since that's how my fiance & I met. I've thought about the Shakespeare theatre and the Leesburg Opera House. I was just looking for more suggestions. I'm not into hotel weddings, and I'm not a big outdoor wedding type person. I live in Leesburg, but we're willing to branch out to more of Central Florida for the wedding.

I've seen a DJ and drummer combo before and it was AWESOME- your favorite songs but with that live band sound and energy.

I have been searching for hours and cannot find anthing in Central FL!

The wedding will be in Orlando, Winter Park specifically and it will be Saturday May 25th.

Originally my fiance and I thought we'd have live music for the ceremony (either harp or violin/fiddle) and then hire a DJ for the cocktail hour/reception.

However, in my research I've found a lot of cool folk-y/bluegrass duos and trios that would fit in so well with the venue. My question - for those of you familiar with Winter Park Farmers Market, does hiring a small, live band for the reception seem crazy? We anticipate about 110 guests - likely a buffet dinner, bar on the covered porch outside.

I'm a long-lost knottie mom who is seeking vendor help for the Vero Beach area. I was very active on the boards when planning our daughter's wedding (featured in The Knot's Real Weddings here: http://weddings.theknot.com/Real-Weddings/5887/view.aspx?type=1&id=5887&STOPREDIRECTING=TRUE&location=029) and also when planning my own 25th anniversary vow renewal in Orlando. A friend of my daughter is eloping to Vero Beach for a mid-week ceremony in a few weeks. We've already found a dress (Hallelujah!) and booked her lodging (Disney's Vero Beach Resort... Tinkerbell helped arrange the room through DVC!). We have also found a minister for the ceremony as well as obtained permission for beach access at the desired location. The ceremony will include just my daughter's friend, her fiance, and the minister. This couple is on a VERY tight budget and cannot afford any frills. I'd like to find a well-priced photographer with sunset beach experience for a small memory package, a florist who can provide a small bouquet, and a bakery who can provide a small cake to be delivered to their resort room... all as a surprise. I believe the resort will be able to deliver champagne to the room and I am sending a set of Waterford toasting glasses (6 Universal Toasts design) to the minister to present to them as their first wedding gift after the ceremony.

I would appreciate any assistance fellow Knotties can provide regarding people I can call in the Vero Beach area for any of those services.
