I just wanted to ask those of you who reside around the area (Orlando mainly), how is the weather like in November? My Fiance and I are hoping to plan our honeymoon in Disneyworld and around the area and wanted to know how the weather patterns were like those couple of weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.

Private Beach Wedding

My fiance and I are planning a beach wedding in 2012 or 2013. We are inviting around 50 guests and we are going to pay for everyone's accommodation. The plan is to find a house with a private beach where we can have the ceremony and have fun till the early hours of the next day. We want to rent beach houses close by for the guests. I just dont know where to start looking for a house with a private beach! We are looking for a beach either in Alabama or Florida or Georgia or Louisiana. Can someone please steer me in the right direction here or let me know if you know any good places? I just started planning and I want to pick the venue first before moving on to the other details. Thank you for any help!

My FI and I are debating on whether or not to hire a videographer for the wedding. We are trying to keep it at a budget of $500-$700 for 5 hours but I dont know if that is too low or not. Are any of you using a videographer and is this a reasonable budget? Also, who would you recommend?

So this november I am getting married at Annunciation Catholic Church and we are having our reception at Sheraton Maitland North. we have a two hour gap between the end of the ceremony and cocktail hour. I want to get some great photos during this time. I would love to do this in a nice garden or feild etc where we can get some great shots. Does anyone have any suggestions for the altamonte/Maitland area that we can do this? I am drawing a blank.

Hello ladies!! I was wondering if anyone booked or know anyone that had a wedding at either locations? I really like the Doubletree but I was looking for a venue that was different from the typical hotel or banquet hall. Ceviche looks really nice from the pictures online and I will be taking a tour next week. I just need some honest opinions about both venues to help me with my final decision. I've seen a few Ocala peeps on here, so I figured I'd give this a try. We're looking for somewhere small - really small - like for 50 people or less. It's really important to us to get married in a church. We aren't members anywhere. Like so many, we're on a tight budget and cannot afford an event that will be in the thousands. Any advice on somewhere small, reasonably priced, and with a pastor that would be willing to officiate non-members is exactly what we need. Thank you sooo much for reading!

Ok, so my wedding is in 17 days and even though I have basically everything done and I have an amazing planner taking care of things, I can't help but feel anxious and jittery!! I'm such a visual person so it's hard to imagine how everything will look together since i've only seen things seperately. Also, I can't help but think something is going to go wrong..... I dunno!

Does anyone else feel like that or is it just me???

Hi!! Does anyone know of any venues that u can bring outside catering? All the places I look at u have to use the catering company they say but I can't afford to spend thousands of dollars on food so I'm hoping not to use Arthur's or Puff n Stuff and such. Also, what are some good ideas for outside catering, I know plenty of restaurants cater but I would have no clue who to use. My feonsei says his mom could cook but I think it would be way too much hard labor to do that

So I live in Jax, but am from Orlando, and our wedding is in Orlando too. I work in a mall complex here similar to Waterford Lakes and today Holly from Sweet! by Good Golly Miss Holly came in to the store to buy things for her new store that's going to be here in Jax!!! My sisters and aunt love going to her shop for cupcakes and she won Cupcake Wars twice :)

I also met the new Jags QB on Saturday and met the Jags headcoach a few weeks ago!! I've met more "famous" people here than in Orlando! haha anywho - just wanted to share my excitement! lol

Hello all!

I would like to rent a house for a week in the Central Florida area (Tampa). I plan to have the Rehersal dinner and Ceremony/Reception there as well. I would like something that is appealing to the eye, mainly for pictures. As well as roomy, something that can suit 50-75 people comfortably. I have done a lot of research on HomeAway, Vacation Rentals, etc. It seems that many people do not like the idea of large parties in their home.

Then the reason Im staying away from your average Venue... is because I do not like the idea of rushing my guests.... I want everyone to relax and have a good time. Most venues limit you to certain time frame.

Anyone have any ideas?

So what would you ladies do... We had an appointment with a DJ. We called to say we took a wrong turn and may be five minutes late. DJ responds confused, then realizes that he'd forgotten his appointment with us and had gone out of town that morning.

Do we give the dj a second chance? Or cut them loose? They are a preferred dj within our venue and we were happy with the pricing.
