I just spoke with a planner and she was so nice, i am def leaning toward getting her. The web site looks great also plus its a plus that i live in south florida and they are here as well, but do wedddings all over florida as well. Seems like a perfect fit. The name of the company is Magical Plan It Events. I am excited, i do have a budget and they have good prices and the lady i talked with said she could do a custome package for me if need be. I am looking forward to recieving her package some time tonight. I will let you ladies know how it goes :)

Hi ladies!

I've been lurking around a few of the boards to get ideas for a few weeks now, and have finally decided to post somewhere! My fiance and I are getting married in Orlando at Paradise Cove on 3/18/12. We aren't into St. Pattie's day, but all the Sat we wanted were booked so we went with the next available Sunday. Lol.

We have already booked our ceremony/reception location, our DJ (his uncle), the minister (another uncle), and ceremony musician (my brother). I met with a photographer last night and I'm pretty sure I'm going to book her! She's young, but I love her work and she's got real passion and excitement. We are meeting with a caterer next week and I'm going this weekend to try on dresses. I feel like getting some of the big things out of the way will make this less stressful and less expensive down the road! My fiance is finishing up his master's degree this spring, and we're moving in a few months, so I want to get as much done as possible right now!

Also, we've picked our bridal party (7 on each side!! yikes!) which includes two of my sisters, as well as my 6 year old daughter. Should be a blast! Anyway, sorry to ramble. I included a link to a dress I love, so feel free to let me know what you think!

We had asked a very good family friend to take photo's at our wedding. Shed done a very good job for FI's sister at her wedding. Shes going to be unable to attend our wedding. She will be at a family members wedding.

So I need to look for someone to shoot our wedding.. Who did you use and did you like them??

Also did any of you have video taken of your wedding and who did you use?? Most of my family will not be attending the wedding due to money or heath issues. Id like for them to be able to see in action some of the wedding.

Hi ladies....long time no talk!! I got married in Tampa last April and am coming up on one year! I am now helping a friend of mine plan her budget wedding in Sarasota, and came across the weddingbee classifieds..which is something I never saw when I was planning. She is looking for a very cheap/discount photographer and in their classifieds they have TONS. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, because I know there are a lot of budget brides out there and I would have LOVED this resource when I was planning :)

Also, does anyone know of a reasonable bakery in that area? She is opposed to the idea of Publix (which I suggested) but does want something inexpensive. Thanks ladies :)

Hair & Makeup Double Dilemma

Hi ladies!

I could use some advice!

On everybody's suggestion, I contacted Meghann Davis primarily about needing my hair done for my wedding. She's extremely nice, very down-to-earth, and very professional when I talk to her on the phone. Here's my double-dilemma: I'm not convinced I need my makeup done on the wedding day. I'm extremely fortunate to have really good skin, and I have extremely sensitive skin, so I'm not sure if I need/could do/should bother with airbrushing makeup. If I didn't do airbrushing, I don't think I'd pay the $90 to have someone apply regular makeup. Has anybody had airbrushing with Meghann befeore? I've read a lot of very mixed reviews online of airbrushing in general, but I know everybody here loves Meghann.

The second half of my double-dilemma is this: Meghann was very sweet when she called, but she explained that she's primarily a makeup person, and she suggested that if I don't want makeup and all of my BMs only want hair as well, I go through her associate (Tracy, I believe?). I've never seen talk of Tracy online, and I don't know anything about her. So if I don't get makeup, I might be back to the drawing board with hair stylists!

So, my questions are this: To airbrush or not to airbrush? To go with Mystery Tracy or find somebody else altogether?

I hope I can find someone with under six weeks to go!

Dubsdread Capacity

It says 200-250 guest capacity, but I'm guessing thats not for a wedding reception, from what I have seen when I was there for a tasting.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should keep my guest list number at? While at the same time, keeping all the guests in the main room and not split off into two separate rooms. But I also don't want the main area to be too crowded. Thanks ahead of time!

So, I am starting my wedding journey a little bit late... We are hoping to get married in the first two weeks of December, some where in Orlando LOL. The only place we have seen so far is Dubsdread. (Which we LOOVVED) the only thing that made us feel weird is the golfers and the fact the resturant is open and they will use the outside patio even when a wedding is going on. I just don't feel comfortable with that. I mean should I just bite the bullet and say what ever there is people watching and hope they behave? Or is there a place that is kinda like Dubsdread with the wood and the big tree? Please let me know?
