The date is coming up fast and I have yet to book a florist. Since my centerpieces are mainly going to be composed of curly willow and dried wheat.. I'm pretty much going to just book a florist for the bouquets and bouts.

Does anyone have a recommendation for someone that isn't very expensive but good quality...?? because flowers are not a major concern in my outdoor wedding... the scenery is plenty! I want to get the best bang for my buck :)

Oh and it would be great if it is near Casselberry.

TIA!

UGH!

I met with Debra from Atmospheres nearly 3 weeks ago. I adored her attention to detail. My mom loved her vision of the flowers. We were sold.

She said she'd send the proposal on Monday or Tuesday (We met on Wednesday). On Thursday I sent her an email asking for it. Got the proposal on Friday, but it was missing some things. Sent her an email asking her to correct it. NO WORD for a week. I met with my caterer who had recommended her (as well as a bunch of people here) who offered to call and see what was up.

Got an email Friday evening (a reply to my "hey, can you make these changes email") stating that she made them and see attached. It was the original proposal.

Saturday she sent another email stating that she found my email in her spam box (the email that she had replied to the day before) and would get an adjusted proposal out to me on Monday. Well today is Tuesday and I've not gotten another email from her.

I'm so disgusted at this point. Seriously, if you dont want the job- tell me.

Looking back on our meeting, she was really excited while we were talking about bouquets and then when I told her that I didnt need centerpieces or ceremony flowers she kind of shut down. Maybe the job wasn't good enough or big enough for her. I don't know. But the lack of communication is infuriating.

I met with Danielle from Dream Design and Vicki from Peddles. I have a meeting with Sally from InBloom on Thursday.

I just want to be done with flowers!

End Rant.

EDIT: Got an email with the updated proposal and a long apology from Debbie last night. She is "growing faster than she can replace herself." I have a meeting with Lee Forest next week. Hopefully I'll have a contract with someone within 2 weeks. Thanks for all of the recommendations!

Anyone use or heard of them?

I am still on the search for a florist since I was going to go with Jonathan's but after all the horror stores I decided to stay clear. I contacted five more and had two more consults. I had a consult today with In Blooms (they are located in Heathrow and Orlando) and it went very well! Seems like they are really willing to work with my EXTREMELY tight floral budget, yet still came up with creative ideas to make everything beautiful. I left feeling very excited and that I clicked with the florist. My mother agreed and we are ready to book once we get the proposal e-mailed.

But any personal expeirence from you all?? Or know of friends who used them? I'd love to hear your input as it has been very difficult to find a great florist to work with with our small budget.

Hello! My fiance and I just got back from Too Jays to do some taste testing. It was DELICIOUS and we definitely think we want to go with them...not to mention that they are so affordable (about $11 per person!!!).

I wanted to get on here and ask if anyone has used Too Jays as their catering for their wedding, and what their thoughts were after the fact.

Another thing is that my mom thinks that using Too Jays would "offend" the guests, like we didn't want to spend the extra money on better quality food. Does anyone have thoughts about that? I don't see anything wrong with Too Jays and with saving some money (I'd rather spend about $1,500 than $5,000...). I just feel like food is not the most important and definitely not the most memorable piece of the wedding, so why spend so much money on it when there is such a delicious and affordable option?

Thoughts please?! :)

Thanks!

So my lace bolero I had made arrived and I went to try it on with my dress...The craftsmanship was stunning and the fit perfect. The color however was way to light. I ordered in in Ivory and it was stark white in comparison to the lace on my dress. I think the one she sent me might have been more of an off white rather than a true ivory.

I have contacted the seamstress to remedy the issue, but if I can only get a refund and not the right color,I'm back to square one. So first off does anyone know of any fabric shops in the Orlando area that would have a great selection of alencon lace? I figure this time around I would get the lace myself and have the seamstress at the bridal shop make it,to be sure I have the right color. The second thing is that I'm really not sure what color lace to get or ask for especially since there are so many different choices for Ivory, white, champagne, etc.I'll post some pictures so everyone can get an idea. Thanks for the help!

Someone asked if you could order bouquets separately and then use a Groupon for each and they said yes. So, if anyone has a wedding coming up that they need additional flowers for or have already booked Johnathan's (I'd call and check to be sure you could use it first) or a baby shower or something, it could be a good deal. It says its also good for bulk flowers and potted plants. Here's a link: Groupon.

Our wedding is in Florida and a lot of our guests (from my side) will be out-of-towners. I would like to try to accommodate them in some way by providing transportation on the day of the wedding. I'm thinking of renting a bus or van or something like that to pick people up. Of course, I would rather not have to do this with all the other wedding expenses and things to think about but I thought it was the right thing to do. Just wanted to get some opinions and suggestions, especially if any of you have the same situation.

Thanks

Does anyone have suggestions for a rehearsal dinner location in Altamonte/Maitland? We already plan to check our Bucca and Cafe Murano. The in-laws are paying and they do not want to go insanely pricey (ie Seasons 52) but I already steered them off the Park hall rental with catering.

We are meeting to discuss budget for it tonight!

So, it seems that we are going to have a lot more ppl show up to the wedding than we had originally planned!! As a result, we will need to rent chairs for the ceremony.

Ceremony and reception is at the Farmer's Market and we were going to have some of the chairs set up inside and the other half out on the patio for the ceremony. Now we will have too many ppl to split it down the middle like that...

So, ... anyone on here ever rent any chairs? Who has a good selection, and how are prices? Also, will they deliver and pick up immediately after the ceremony?

Ok, so when I get ready to write my reviews, am I writing them based solely on day of or my WHOLE experience with the vendor? Naturally, I am very thorough and elaborate in my explanations, but don't want to overwhelm people with TOO much info..
