So the FIRST one we were talking about getting was a senior center that had a room that is 98' by 48' . They want to charge

$95 and hour ( were renting for 6 hours ) =$570
$95 for a clean up fee =$95
$250 security deposit we will get back =$250

So basically it would cost us $700 not including $250 deposit . They have a kitchen on site and the tables and chairs. The room fits 150 dancing or 450 in theater seating . They also have 2 men and 2 women bathroom and extra rooms and there right next to a park. They also said that we get 3 hours "free" to set up before the wedding and a hour at the end. My parents surprised us and told us they will pay the security deposit and half the venue . So we would only pay $350 .
http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=PqDe6ri
http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=PqDe8Wr
Here's pictures of the room there not great but the only I could find. THe GPBSC is not there anymore it is now a 16' by 9' projector and they also have a stage . Its also way bigger its just pictures of the ends of the room.

The SECOND one I called today . It is a knight of columbus . Its basically a fancy duble wide trailer .If you google Knights of Columbus 6725 Babcock St SE Malabar, FL 32950-5004 you can see the street view of it. Well When I called I asked how much they rent out there hall for . They said $800 for 9 hours. That includes set up and take down time. Tables and chairs included They have a small kitchen on site too. They only fit 230 people theater style seating. A $50 clean up fee and a security deposit of $250 . So $850 would be the total . Not including the $250 deposit

So I think were going to pick Venue Number one. lol. What do you all think ?

Hey ladies... I have some questions about travel agents & honeymooning. Don't laugh, I've never had to plan anything like this before & I've never dealt with a travel agent. We are looking at booking an Alaskan cruise the summer following our wedding for our honeymoon. I can book it right through Carnival's website, but part of me wants to talk to a travel agent who can recommend excursions, other cruise lines, etc. Do travel agents charge any sort of a fee above what I would be paying if I booked directly through the website? Thanks so much. Anyone with any info about travel agents/or experience with Alaskan cruises I'd love to hear from you.

Their response card is only for the 2 boys and my aunt- no GF mentioned. Should I just assume that she is coming down after the wedding and not worry about it or double check to make sure he isn't planning on bringing her. He is def. the type of person who would bring her w/ no notice and without thinking...

But how bitchy does it sound to say "just stalked my brother's facebook and wanted to remind you that your gf is not invited?" Like I said I don't know details, but I don't wanna risk it... WWYD?

Hi everyone,

The venue I'm thinking about using for my reception only allows flameless candles. Does anyone know where I can get a lot of them for a reasonable price? Or, does anyone in the area have some from their own wedding that I could possibly purchase them from?

Thank you!
~Katie

Make SURE your dress is unbustled prior to the ceremony!! Ugh. I could kill myself...

My alterations lady showed my coordinator how to bustle it at my last fitting appointment, and I guess they put it back in the bag that way. I was so all over the place the morning of, I didn't even notice it was STILL bustled. And actually I didn't realize it today until I started going through all my photos.

What's dumber, is that I had my coordinator meet me after dinner to bustle it, and she acted like she was doing it. Soooo, not sure what happened there. If she had told me it was already bustled, I could have gotten some photos after the fact...

Majorly bummed. Probably just my own stupidity, but just in case someone else is as silly as me...:)

I want to get my future mother in law involved in wedding planning but she has always been very controlling . My fiancee is an only child and they don't get along very well.I don't want to give her to much to do because if I do she will try and take over the whole wedding but I still want her to be involved. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have already got my wedding dress. I am buying my bridesmaid, my mother, and my FMIL a gift to give when the wedding is almost here. I am getting them this bag ( http://weddingshop.theknot.com/weddingwa… and each one will be filled with different things. I am also having a spa day and treating them all . Any suggestion are appreciated . Thanks in advanced.

Side Note: My dress is being made by my mother so I won't really have dress fittings. My mothers also making our wedding cake. My FH doesn't really like his mom she is very controlling. One of the problems we have with her is that she feels everything should be done on her time. Here is an example she called us on Sunday after church and asked if Jackson my step son could spend the night at there house , we told her no because Jackson mother was picking him up on Monday ( Jackson's mother doesn't like my FMIL ). Justin suggested they could come to our house. She just hung up the phone. Well then she calls back at 2:30pm and says well were coming over at 3pm . We were like well have fun coming over but we won't be there. We already had plans for the afternoon to go to a friends house for a cook out . Which she would of known if she listened to my FH.

Thanks in Advance.

Were getting married at really nice senior center in our neighborhood or a knights of columbus . I am actually going later today to see what one we want . Nothing to fancy . But it is still semi-formal and Our family will ALL be there (Gparents and all). MOst of our church friends will be there too.

I think I like the 2nd one
